I'd appreciate it if you could cite a source for that statement, but for the moment let's assume you're correct. Are you therefore implying that the Fallout 4 fan-base is only on PCs and not on consoles? Because that seems highly unlikely.

Um...yes? Considering it's already completely shattered pre sale records. Not broken, not surpassed. It shattered them. Screenings are already sold out and theaters have had to add more showtimes just to cover it. Websites crashed because so many people tried to buy pre-sale tickets. When the actual film comes out, it is going to be a monster.

Want to make a bet about that? $1000 through paypal to the winner? if Star wars becomes highest grossing film worldwide not just USA like those pre sales where?
I think you're going to be wrong about this one, it's not just the US, but in the UK as well, and I'm not familiar with how other countries track their pre-sales or where to look for that, but I'd wager they are pretty high as well.

Well my copy came with the 1TB PS4 I bought, there wasn't any other 1TB models to buy.

I wonder how many copies were moved this way.

God damn it, I was hoping that the CoD train was finally slowing down, and that the spunkgargleweewee bubble was starting to burst.

Oh well...

Well if you look at the best selling list of video games you see a lot of call of duties in multi platform and on console but not on pc in terms of sales. So its safe to say call of duty does target console users primarily since that's where their sales are.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_games

As for the sales of fallout all I could find on fallout 3 sales suggest that is fairly even but mostly pc. I'll quote the wikipedia

"From its release in October through the end of 2008, Fallout 3 shipped over 4.7 million units.[88] According to NPD Group the Xbox 360 version has sold 1.14 million units and the PlayStation 3 version has sold 552,000 units as of January 2009. The Xbox 360 version was the 14th best-selling game of December 2008 in the United States, while the PlayStation 3 version was the eighth best-selling PlayStation 3 game in that region and month."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_3

But considering the different marketing and various other factors I wouldn't make any jumps about fallout 4 sales yet and on what platform it will be most popular on.

Well this is depressing. Really want this thing to just go away. I bet after I'm dead there will still be Call of Duty games.

By this point the only good games they release are the Treyarch ones. I did actually really enjoy the campaign for this one though since they were exploring some different territory with it rather than the usual Call Of Duty formula. I don't think that it's quite as fabulously nutty as Black Ops 1 ("THE NUMBERS MASON! WHAT DO THEY MEAN!?") but it really does come very close at times. The ending to the campaign, I won't spoil it but it all seems really, really rushed with a load of plot threads being revealed and tied up within 5 minutes.

And yes, I'm the solitary nutter who plays CoD games for the campaign mostly. I've not enjoyed the multiplayer since MW2 because MW1's dedicated servers and ability to play LAN spoiled me by giving me actual contact with friends and real fun LAN parties.

And Zombies is... Well it's Zombies, there's not really much you can do to iterate on that.

And how much of that are they gonna have to spend on fixing/refunding the PC version, seriously, I don't even game on a PC and I felt bloody offended by the state of that thing.
