There is probably a way to do it...

Perhaps with a video card in a USB port?

Actually, I just checked, and I see what appears to be an S-Video port in the back of my tower PC.
(Load of help that does me, considering it doesn't work anymore.)

If the PC monitor has standard AV cables (red/blue/yellow or RGB ports), then yes, it should be able to. The Xbox 360 doesn't have a wire to connect to a PC monitor though.

There is a way, but do you have the will? Heh, anyway there is a way to do it since my friend uses his monitor for it, but I haven't a clue how. Sorry

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this - I registered so I could reply to this. There's an official microsoft vga cable you can buy, works like a charm, I use it for my 360. It also comes with a male/female converter so you can plug it to your monitor's output cord.

Microsoft also puts out S-Video cables, should your monitor be that old.

Yeah, you can get cables for it with VGA output, but you'll need more than that to get audio as well. I had to get another cable and a coupling to use my computer's speakers as audio output from the two RCA connectors that were on the VGA cable.

You can connect any consle to a monitor, just get the right cable. IF you have a new or high end monitor, you should just plug it in, if not, you can get converters.

Why the hell would you want to do that? I thought the whole point of Microsoft making the Xbox was to prove that they could do more than create shitty software. I understand that you may prefer a monitor to buying an HDTV, but still, doesn't that kind of negate the whole purpose of the xbox?

Try not to choke so much on your haterade.

Some folks can't afford a big shiny HDTV and/or don't have room for a big screen... and monitors these days are getting as big as most TVs were five years ago. (Five years ago I was running my Xbox on a 20" 4:3 set of dubious parentage, for instance.) So plugging a console (of any stripe) into a monitor makes sense for these folks, especially if they've already bought that monitor for a computer.

I actually heard a guy say that his Xbox was his PC to me the other day. I'm not sure what he meant by that, but I think he was talking about how he was playing his PC games through his Xbox. I'm sure there is a way.

You can always get a video capture card, that's how most people do it. I got one off ebay years ago for like £15. Dead simple. PCI Card, you plug video into it and you're off. It's like a webcam input to your PC only from consoles, TVs and the such.

Also, if you have an HDMI input on the back of your tv/monitor and an HDMI out on your 360 (the newer versions all have the HDMI...perhaps every one after the Elite?) it should work just fine.

Hrm... the newer, awesome "We released this model right after tiredinnuendo bought his 360 ha ha ha ha ha ha ha" versions of the system may have built-in wireless (I'm not sure), but that isn't universal.

Not that the wireless NICs for the system are hard to find or anything.
