I'm having issues with iTunes in that I have two albums titled "Rush" (one by Darude and one by Rush themselves) but on my iPod all the tracks are lumped together. Both albums are there with the correct artwork, but they each have all of the tracks in them, I'm having a similar problem with anything called "Greatest Hits". I've filled in the Album Artist field but it hasn't fixed it! Can anyone help please, much appreciated!

If the 'artist's are different there shouldn't be a problem.
But you could always rename the album.

Yeah, I considered that. For any "Greatest Hits" I've just included the name of the artist in the album Title "Thin Lizzy: Greatest Hits" for example. But I'm really obsessive about how I organise iTunes and I don't like the idea of naming them "Rush 1" and "Rush 2".

This, the best way to do it is by changing it simply for example 'Rush (By Darude)' and the other one being 'Rush (By Rush)'.

Manually rename the songs?

I really don't know, I much prefer the superior WinAMP... but that's just me

Haven't you just solved your own problem?

Rush: Darude
Rush: Rush

It might look slightly messy, but better than before.

I'm sure that's the kind of help he was looking for... thanks.

Anyway, iTunes is the only way to load music onto an iPod. Zing!
I was just giving him the best advice there was to offer. A crappy program to use a crappy device. I kid, but I don't like anything Apple.

no it's not, you can do it with a few different programs cause there is no itunes for linux and you can use an ipod on linux

anyways i think you can sort them based on album and artist and that should fix your issue
