I'm trying to remember the name of a kind of obscure budget game I played the PC demo of some years ago, before the HD generation. It played like a MGS/Splinter Cell rip off (that is, 3rd person stealth adventure),the level I played was set in the Arctic, and I remember the MP5K being a main weapon. I'm pretty sure it was a made by an Eastern European developer, possibly Russian. Some of the English was poorly translated. I don't think it got very good reviews, or much attention. Sorry, I know this is vague.

EDIT: Summary of things I can remember:
Modern Setting
Third Person Stealth Action/Adventure
MP5K was a primary weapon
Similar gameplay to Splinter Cell and MGS
Male protagonist who was a soldier/stealth operative
Eastern-European Developer
Poor English
Arctic setting
Previous Gen, so before HD graphics, but not as far back as PS1
Badly reviewed, although it got little attention

No, it was older than that. Before the HD generation I think, but not as far back as PS1.
EDIT: Not Syphon Filter, don't think that was released on PC.

Syberia? I don't know anything about the game but I've seen screenshots that look like what you're talking about.

None of these I'm afraid. Interesting to know that CT Special Forces: Fire For Effect was called Nemesis Strike in other regions though.

Sorry I can't help then. I thought of I.G.I.-2: Covert Strike [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I.G.I.-2:_Covert_Strike] too, but that's not in third-person as far as I remember.

Sorry guys, I win. :p I just found it by looking through Gamespot's reviews database.

The game was called Aurora Watching, but it seems to have been called Soldier Elite in the US. It was released in 2006 and the developer was Polish.
