Okay I did a (very) quick search for this but nothing came up lately. :)

So a few seconds ago (and this is just an example - there have been many other occasions) there was a thread popped up titled "Blah", with the OP consisting of just that one word - a troll at work (I assume).

Now this particular one was locked quickly, but not before a good few people took their chance to reply, ignoring the "report and move on" strategy we're told to employ.

So the question I'm asking is, do people secretly enjoy the odd troll post here and there?
I, for one, am willing to admit that if I'm browsing through the forums and none of the topics are really appealing to me, seeing a nonsense thread created by a troll brightens me up - breaks up the boredom.
Though of course I would never troll myself.

So, what are your thoughts on the subject? :)

I totally agree with you.

If I see one, I go on to it just to see what has been said and post either a facepalm pic or just post something random like the 'Blah' topic.

I used to be like that, but I no longer care for threads like that nowadays. I actually do simply report and move on nowadays, which is why you never see my posts in threads like that. I also occasionally send links to the mods asking them to lock the thread and hand out punishment where needed. I guess I basically just became less caring for threads like that and more caring for threads that generate actual discussion over time, though the fact that The Ultrajoe says that he hands out warnings for posts saying 'report and move on' or posts on those threads nowadays could also be a large deterrant from that as well for me.

I did have a partial liking for Kukul, though, but not much. Just the occasional funny post.

What bothers me is the people that go to it to post "Report and move on." If you're posting there, then you're breaking your own rule.

Yeah, especially when like four people have said it before them.
They really just want to post in the thread without looking like they're feeding it.

I agree completely, heh. I even thought about asking this the other day. I guess I was mega ninja'd

The whole "Report and Move On" phrase annoys the hell out of me though..
