Can I post a interpretation/analysis video here?

Hi everyone!

I spent teh last two weeks creating a three part video series about my interpretation of Bioshock Infinite, yes another one of those ^^;

It is certainly not perfect but I have put a lot of work into it, and would like to share it.

Now, can I post them here? Should I use a different forum?

I'd daresay you'd have more of a chance of getting away with it if you had more than one post, but since you do only have 1 post it would probably be seen as advertising, which is against the rules. If you feel it could contribute to a pre-existing Bioshock Infinite thread you might be able to intergrate it into a response there though.

But i totally get you, and i actually agree,
sadly I think the very nature of the three videos dont really lend them to be posted as an addition to an existing discussion.

But please no one be upset, for me asking this, I think its relatable that if you put some work and effort into something you would like to share it

(also I am not a youtube partner and dont get anything out of it, but still by its very nature it can be considered advertisement and if its not welcome here, I will happily comply)

btw, just in geenral, can anyone give me some hints/advice on how giving exposure to my work?

Hey, at least you had the presence of mind to actually ask first. Most people just pop up, post the videos, then wonder why they get smacked with the warning hammer for it.

Yeah, advertising is a big no-no around here, but if you can use the videos to springboard off into a written discussion about the topic then it's usually able to be justified.

I'll be honest, I don't really care about seeing more people dissect Bioshock Infinite at this point. It didn't take long for both sides of the coin ("I hated it, it sucks!" and "I actually quite liked it, it made me think!") to clog up the internet into a big ol' flame war about Bioshock in general. But that's just me.

Spread discussion is the best advice I could give. If you really don't think you could bring more to the table than the content of your videos (even just by summarizing and explaining your points in text for the people who don't want to watch) then I don't really know. I don't do much in the way of exposing creative content.

I totally get you on that,
in fact I was you when everybody went crazy over Portal or the Walking Dead.

I even put that in my video a petition for Infinite fans to not get crazy over it.
Discussion is great, and I think Infinte is great because it gives as much to discuss and interpret.

For the two weeks I worked on this, i had totaly isoalted myself from every article or video on Infinite, just to make sure I first get my thing finished. (exeption, yathzees video, because i knew it would juzst be awesome ^^)

So I did not even realize how its gotten to the point of annoyance to those who dont care about it.

Also, thanks to both of you, for being so polite, honest and helpful, nowadays I am s used to everyone on the net acting like an entitled, arrogant and self centric moron, that I am often afraid to get into Forums at all.

I mean I have been a regular visitor to The Escapist, for a couple of years, and never even went to the forums ^^;
