I went into my game to make sure I finished mass effect 1 that way I wanted to and remember "Oh crap, I started a second playthrough." So I want to know if I can still import. Technically I DID finish the first...but at the same time technically I didn't. Please inform me if you' already have the game and are in a similar situation with how your experience went.

I expect you will get access to the save you used to start your second playthrough. I expect to find four saves, 1 for each ending for each of my 2 playthroughs. I'm sure you'll be fine.

When you get the credits thing the game makes a separate file for every time you get to that screen, this file holds a rollout of your character and is also the one that matters for importing.

I haven't played ME2 yet, but I'm sure that each ME1 save file is distinctly recognizable with all the little details that are important for ME2 saved separately for each character. They'd be pretty stupid not to do it that way and then brag about the character importing feature.

I've been worried about this as well. I'm going to think that a lot of people are in the situation so I think it would be ok.

I've been worried here too... I assume you have to have finished a playthrough with the character to import it? Cause I stopped at around Feros... And probably will have to speed through it.

Yes, you can. Once you beat the game, the save file is importable.

Not that I would know, since I don't have it yet. T_T

See, I'm not so sure you can only use the end of game save, as they were talking about scalable bonuses based on what level you reached, and the only way to get between 50 and 60 would be to not finish a subsequent playthrough all the way... or maybe you could just be really sloppy and don't do much, I suppose that would work.

Meh, I'll know in an hour and a half!
