can someone clear something up for me ...

i hate to be the one to start another ME3 thread, but this one contains no spoiler, reviews, complaints or anything of the like. it is just a "simple" question.

i have been avoiding any thread related to ME3 like the plague because I simply have not had the chance to finish it yet. however, i accidentally came across a thread that mentioned in order to get the "best" ending you have to complete "quests" in the multi-player area.

is this true? if so, how much would i have to suffer through to get the best ending? i am not the biggest fan of online gaming (cause, ya know, the people are just so nice!) and i am currently on Thessia and have this feeling there isn't too much left to the single-player game, but would like to have all options available at the end.

that said, can anyone answer that question for me w/o spoiling the ending?

Fear not Citizen! I have completed ME3 and will look around Google for you so that you do not have to expose yourself to spoilers! The ending you are referring to isn't exactly "the best" but it's probably what you are referring to since it's the hardest one to unlock...

To get the Perfect Ending in Mass Effect 3, play the game with the New Game+ option or with an imported character from ME2, with an achieved 4000+ EMS rating and choose the Red, or Renegade Option. With 4000+ EMS you [CENSORED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE] (From Gamefront.com)

Another site mentioned the magic 4000 EMS number for renegades. The censored part and other sites have stated that you need 5000 EMS in order to get the super ending with paragon actions.

PLEASE NOTE! I did not actually get this special ending and only heard about it from the Escapist and the searches I just did. I cannot tell you for sure that this information is correct but I used multiple sources to compile it.

Also, give the ending a chance. I know that 99% of the internet seems to hate the ending but I personally loved the ending.
