Now, as for the fun stuff and new world orders. One world, eventually, this is one outcome I'd like to see happen, the sooner we all get over our petty hatreds and prejudices the better, and indeed I personally think the world would be better off as a single unified entity, even if at this time that kind of thing is monstrously un-feasible. Let cultures merge, peoples mix. All this kind of self-imposed isolationism with regards to religion, culture and social groupings seems to do is cause strife, not that all those things don't offer -good- things, they do, just that the rivalries and tension between all these ideologies seem to cause more trouble then they're worth.
It's already happening, if only these massive, well, huge international conglomerates were lead by benevolent beings rather than money-grabbing misers, the world could already be a much better place.

However, I think you're correct. It could be blind idealism, but I don't think it would be that hard, as there are several fundamental ideals and laws that pretty much everyone abides by. Simply unite under those, and imagine what humanity could do.

I don't get how being American and European are different. Sure, we have different customs, but there'll always be the rule-breakers.
And laws,
and cultures,
and architecture,
and language,
and landscapes,
and ideals,
and attitudes.

Of course, this varies from person to person as much as it does from country to country.

Well I can understand why they would want to be more like Europe, lower crime rates, better healthcare, and less national debt. There are a lot of positives that America just lacks.

Unfortunately, it will never happen as long as there's Christians.

Europe isn't that great really.
I sometimes wish it was as awesome as some people make it out to be.

Now i don't agree with "Be like Europa", everyone has differences.

But no offence intended, but im damn glad im not american, but im not to keen on the fact im part English either.

And about the "american's need to take pride in the fact there american" some americans i speak to, you want to strangle them with the bullcrap they come out with.

Admittedly though, there are a few good americans who are worth the air they breath.

Finally, the best countries in the world are within the European boundaries, i.e. Sweden; the best country in the world (overall; health care, average lifetime expectancy, freedom of the media etc.) things like that.

Why Christians, in particular?

Yeah, uh, Worship is the last word I'd use to describe mainstream America's attitude towards Europe now. But maybe I just watch those sorts of news outlets.

I'd say it has more to do with the Obama presidency than what shee-I MEAN people actually think. He's so much of a liberal as well, and too many people just go along with everything he does because he's that handsome black ladykilling sonofagun.

I like them both. I think America should socialise it's medicine, improve it's education and regulate it's financial sector like Europe.

And I think Europe should lower it's minimum wage and permit the underclass to experience a bit of hardship so they'll learn, and actually work for a living, like in America. I also think we should both stop censoring offensive things. Making jokes about minorities is still free speech, no matter how much it may upset people.

Their belief that, if the world is united as one, the Antichrist shall rise and destroy everything or some shit like that. Basically, it's against their best interests.

America has more people leeching off of them than the United Kingdom. Besides, the countries that depend on us are developing countries and war striken countries where the poor die. They need Aid from Britain otherwise they would die. That or they are people who prefer our ideals over some of the other 1st world countries, like Germany for example.

USA>>>England

I'm English.

Course, this goes for everything except football.
USA > UK
USA < Rest of Europe

Europe is the only continent in the world, in which the majority of citezans are cultured and sophisticated.
So what your actually saying is Rest of Europe > USA > England.
Care to explain why England is apparently worse than America and also the worst country in Europe?

On topic, I agree with what Max said.

Sorry America...

I'm not really a big fan, in fact, you kind of scare me. Though I'm not one of you, I'm just your neighbor. I definately prefer our cousins across the sea, they've got History and culture on their side. Though I do really like your movies... except for the ones made by Micheal Bay, Tyler Perry and Larry the Cable guy... those ones really make you look bad.

You try really hard sometimes, like finally electing a minority leader but then again you got the world into a big mess through your pigheaded economics and ignorance of your own rules you put in place to prevent this kind of thing.
We scare people so people don't screw with us. This hasn't worked lately, and I've been planning to move to somewhere in the UK as soon as possible.
