I'm a fairly proficient cook, I can make several dishes from memory and can make almost any dish, if I have the right recipe and ingredients.

I had 2 cooking classes during secondary schooling, but I didn't learn anything new, since my parents have been teaching me how to cook since i was 5-6 years old.

My favourite dishes are Lasagne and a nice piece of ox entrecote, with simple salt and pepper seasoning and a splash of balsamico

Yeah I can, the other day I made shrimp scampi without any recipes or anything. Just went along with the general idea of what it was and it turned out great. I also make a really good tomato sauce. I like chopping stuff too.

Sure I can. If you can read and follow directions, you can cook. Feedback from friends and family has almost always been positive.
My stir-fries and spaghetti sauces usually turn out quite well, I've got a book of Japanese recipes which have all been successes so far, and my attempts at eggs goldenrod (has anybody else even heard of that?) haven't exactly been failures, but I need more practice.

I can cook quite a few things, and I'm a damn fine cook according to almost everyone whose eaten what I have cooked. I love to make pot roasts with veggies, all-day spaghetti, steak and fried taters, zucchini casserole (this is fucking awesome by the way, all time fav of mine), chili, baked chicken with lots of spices, and several other dishes. Huevos Ranchero's is probably one of my most entertaining things to make because most people just don't know how fucking delicious and simple it is.

I really enjoy cooking and I think I enjoy having people eat it and like it even more, very rewarding to me!

I can cook basic things yes, but I'm not very motivated to do so thanks to me being very very mediocre at it.

I like to think I'm a good cook. On different occasions I've made pasta, various egg dishes, salads, cookies and brownies, bread (not as tough as it's made out to be), pancakes.

Of course, I prefer to make dishes that are really fast to make since by the time I'm in to mood to eat I don't want to be cooking too long to make it. So this translates to a lot of sandwiches (elaborate sandwiches, at times. I'm growing fond of the BLT), eggs, pasta, and stir-frys.

I can make various Indian dishes, and if I have a cookbook, other Western dishes as well.

I make a mean apple pie too. :p

Yes, I learned to cook early. My dad would always work late and called me to tell me what I was cooking for the night. If I didn't know how to do it, I would have to learn in 30 minutes or so.

I can feed myself, which is what I do since no one cooks for me at home (I don't want them to, else I'd be even heavier than I already am).

...Not since "The incident".
This comic is so goddamned sexist on several different levels.

As to the OP, yes I can cook, extremely well. The last thing I cooked was supper friday night, for 4 people. It was chicken quesadillas/fajitas, whatever people wanted. The quesadillas just entail putting cheese in with the filling, buttering the outside of the tortilla and then frying it till it gets nice and crispy, same technique as an omelette. Fajitas entailed filling a tortilla with the mixture+ rice, then wrapping it up.

The filling was badass though. I had these fresh cherry tomatoes from my sister's garden, all I did was slice them in half, then I threw them in the mixture when it was already done and off the heat. The ambient heat of the dish cooked them just right, and they exploded in a jet of tomato-ey deliciousness whenever I bit into one. I took one single class of home-ec in junior high 10+ years ago, but I've only started cooking seriously since I quit smoking and could actually taste how delicious things are. Since then I've been edumacatin' myself watching the Food Network in Canada. My favorite tv chef is Michael Smith. That gargantuan bastard taught me that you don't need recipes to cook, just good taste and an imagination.

I work in a real kitchen, so yes- I can cook very well.

I particularly like making sauces the most, they take a long time and are a ***** to clean most of the time, but they're so essential to a good dish, even if they occupy the least amount of space while you're preparing everything. That and some people have told me it's a sexist thing to say, but women like a man that can cook really well. And so far in my life, that's very true. hahah

Indeed I can. However, I can't exactly tell what kind of cuisine I prepare, though far more often than not, it's pretty damn good. This is kinda how it goes: "So, if I marinate meat X in a mixture of Y and Z with A, B, and F spices, let it sit overnight, prepare it the next day with vegetables H and J, and serve it over lambda, it should be pretty kickass."

I don't think about making a particular cultural variety of food, so much as what would work flavor-wise. It seems to work. It means that my recipes would be somewhat random, but good regardless. I love doing it.

Sure can. Tis my job. I've been cooking for 6 years or so now. It's fun stuff. Lately I've been working with woodovens. Oven fired pizzas, pastas, tons of fish. It's fun. I'm fairly good at baking too.

Cooking is another form of art. Everyone should try and learn a little

I guess it depends on what you count as cooking, I put food into the microwave/oven for however long it says to on the packaging. I also sometimes use a pan too make pasta parcels, and sauce but both the sauce and pasta is already made in the packet so I'm just following the instruction written on the back.

How does smoking effect the taste of food? were you smoking like 40 cigarettes a day or something?

I can cook allright... Problem is, I seem to have a pretty poor imagination when it comes to food, so it's usually pretty basic stuff, omelette, pancakes, spaghetti bolognese, etc.

I can make a few things. Cincinnati chili is about as complicated as it gets, though. I'd really like to learn to do more, but I can't afford cooking classes, and my parents simply don't feel like teaching me (although I don't get why, because if I did, I could make dinner almost every night).
