Well, that was definitely easier than the UK citizenship test, which seemed more to be constructed of useless trivia than anything relating to what could be deemed as suitable for "citizenship".

29 out of 30. Missed:
22) What are two ways that Americans can participate in their democracy?
A. vote and volunteer as a social worker
B. serve on a jury and join a political party
C. write to a newspaper and speak in the United Nations
D. join a civic group and write to a newspaper

I put down B but the correct answer was D. Not entirely sure I agree with that though. Both are viable answers given that the two top ways to influence government are to serve on a jury and vote.

They should make all US citizens above the age of 18 do this test. And those who fail should pay higher taxes for the next 3 years for being too stupid to live in their own country. Just a fun little idea to keep things interesting.

I took it in Human Geography class a few days ago, oddly enough. Anyway, It was 100 short answer questions. I'm from good old 'Merica, and I still failed it. It had a bunch of history questions and govt. stuff. You need to get 60 right, and I was only able to answer 60....

10/20. Slightly better than the UK test, but honestly not by much. Either way I'm Irish, which automatically makes me acceptable in any society.

I did the 20-question New York test, got 80%.

Not bad considering I only got 1/3 right on my (UK) citizenship test.

Yeah I have. In my town if you go to the local Middle School the U.S. History Teacher for 8th grade won't let you pass his class unless you can prove you can perform well in the Citizenship test. Not just a few select questions, he has you do every single one of them.

46/50.

I would have gotten a few more right. But two of them felt like they were almost opinion questions. And one didn't really have any answers I liked. So... yeah. It was pretty easy. I guess I'm still an American... right?

Well this is interesting. In the UK test (keep in mind I live in the UK), I got 11/24, about 45%. In the US test (I've only been to America twice, when I was 6 and 8 to Florida, so I chose that as my state) I got 10/20, 50%.

I don't know if it is because the questions were easier, or if I just guessed a bit better than in the UK test.
