Can you recommend a good drink?

Bearing in mind that I don't know any drink recipies, I was wondering if you, my fellow escapists, can recommend some?

I don't know any alcoholic stuff, unfortunately, but if you want a unique experience, mix some Cherry Coke and Irn Bru together. It's nicer than it sounds.

Or an Ouzo screwdriver. Be sure to use Ouzo 12, not that Metaxa junk.

1/2 shot Jameson Irish whiskey
Drop the shots into the beer then chug, if you don't the whole drink will spoil quickly

I can't say much about any alcoholic drinks, but try a Roy Rogers if you haven't before. If you haven't, by the way, I don't consider you to be a living thing. It's just coke and grenadine.

I'm partial to screwdrivers. They're pretty simple, just mix vodka and OJ. I've also mixed sake and OJ, which wasn't too bad.

Oh, and IBC is a good substitute for A&W if memory serves.

Water. The only drink 100% guaranteed not to kill you.

Overconsumption of water can kill you, just as overconsumption of alcohol can (see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_intoxication). Granted, you need to drink more water than alcohol for that to happen.

As for interesting drinks, I tend to favour a rum and coke.

These are pretty good.

Also for a nice sipping drink, especially on a hot day, I recommend:

1/2 Lime
2 shots Jack Daniels
Club Soda

- Put a couple of ice cubes in a glass, squeeze lime juice into glass, pour in the whiskey, and add the soda.

It's very refreshing

The other day I combined vodka with watermelon juice. It tasted pretty nice. Don't remember the mixture, so add vodka to a 1/2 pint of watermelon juice until it meets your liking.

Lets call it "The Russian Monkey" for now.
