If you want an experience similar to the games you listed, you must try Bastion. It's an indie game, but it's fucking excellence from start to finish in both gameplay and storytelling. It's like a tripple-A developer moved their whole budget from unneccesary lengthening and diluding their RPG to just making an 8-hour super-concentrated barrel of fun and awe.
Story is touching and engaging, art is beautiful and fresh, music is fantastic, combat design is really fun, it's gimmicks (including the famous narrator) work really well. It's only flaw is that the enemy design is not on par with the rest of the game by being simply average instead of awestriking.
