Thief series
was looking at thief on steam but says that it doesnt work on laptops. the game looks really good though. never heard of the others will need to have a look
There are three games in the Thief series. The first two are fairly old but also really, really,
really good. Thief 2: The Metal Age I count as one of the best games ever made. The level design is just absolutely brilliant, some of the best I've ever seen in the gaming industry, while the gameplay is so tight and focused it's difficult to find fault with.
Thief 3, aka Thief: Deadly Shadows is much newer and obviously looks better as a result, but also suffers from some pretty damned annoying issues such as absolutely tiny levels
(Especially compared to the stunning ones in Thief 2) and rougher gameplay and movement thanks to the ill-thought out 3rd person perspective. Otherwise it's still a damned good game however and while probably the weakest of the Thief games, is still a proud entry into the series unlike, say, Deus Ex: Invisible Wars which most people tend to pretend never happened.
I'd say get all of them myself, but then I'm a huge fan. And if you're worried about them not working on modern computers just buy them from
gog.com instead of steam.
Other than the Thief series as far as bow gameplay goes I'd recommend Dark Messiah of Might & Magic as well as Mount & Blade: Warband.
