The upcoming Dragon's Dogma lets you use bows, and it feels pretty satisfying to just relentlessly loose arrow after arrow, with the occasional Powah arrow!

Singleplayer:
Thief series

Multiplayer:
Age of Chivalry
Pirates, Vikings & Knights II

Both:
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (My №1 choice overall)
Mount & Blade: Warband

So I assume it doesn't have to be an integral part of the gameplay? Then I can suggest these on top of my head:

Dark Messiah
Thief series
Demon's/Dark Souls
Gotham City Impostors

Edit: Oh yeah, and PVK/AoC, of course. Are those mods still alive, though? Haven't played them for ages.

In Dark Souls you bow to your opponent before duels. It also has the kind that shoot arrows.

looks like its got auto-aim

the problem is i like the idea of bows and arrows/swords and shields combat but its usually intregrated in an RPG where its a case of you are x level, opponent is x+10 level so you cannot win. i prefer a game where you have to use skill and everyone can kill any one else provided they have the skill to do it

Didn't have auto aim when I was playing it.

Might be a skill or something.

Mount and Blade: Warband has some pretty decent bow and arrow action. Especially if you get really ambitious and decide to do it from horseback.

this is exactly what im looking for, this looks amazing

n.b. i apologize in advance for subjecting you to the corporate evil that is annoyingly loud, repetitive and downright annoying adverts on internet videos. but seriously the game is worth watching a 20 second plea for

There are three games in the Thief series. The first two are fairly old but also really, really, really good. Thief 2: The Metal Age I count as one of the best games ever made. The level design is just absolutely brilliant, some of the best I've ever seen in the gaming industry, while the gameplay is so tight and focused it's difficult to find fault with.

Thief 3, aka Thief: Deadly Shadows is much newer and obviously looks better as a result, but also suffers from some pretty damned annoying issues such as absolutely tiny levels (Especially compared to the stunning ones in Thief 2) and rougher gameplay and movement thanks to the ill-thought out 3rd person perspective. Otherwise it's still a damned good game however and while probably the weakest of the Thief games, is still a proud entry into the series unlike, say, Deus Ex: Invisible Wars which most people tend to pretend never happened.

I'd say get all of them myself, but then I'm a huge fan. And if you're worried about them not working on modern computers just buy them from gog.com instead of steam.

Other than the Thief series as far as bow gameplay goes I'd recommend Dark Messiah of Might & Magic as well as Mount & Blade: Warband.

War of the Roses was largely inspired by Mount & Blade, the two are even published by the same publisher. Link, very first interview question.

So if you think War of the Roses looks like what you're after, you definitely need to look into Mount & Blade: Warband.

Personally I found Thief 3 much easier to get into than Thief 2.

And I absolutely suck with a bow in Warband. I sword and boarded my way to becoming Queen of the land formerly known as the Sarranid Sultanate.

Well let's see um.. you can make a bow in Minecraft... >.>
