Can you replay your old games?

It depends.
If the "old" game has a newer version that's practically identical, but with useful upgrades in its interface, then I'll find it difficult/painful to try to go back and play the old game.
ie. Trying to play Gen1 Pokemon after the later Gens had sectioned backpacks.
Or, trying to play Morrowind and fail at everything after playing Oblivion and having never failed anything.

I've had no problem plugging in my Sega Master System or Nintendo and playing a few games. Most are unbeatable. I also have a rather extensive jrpg collection that I will filter through now and then (especially Chrono Trigger and FF7).
I haven't plugged in my old atari in forever, and don't know if the controllers still work, so that's up in the air. But I have no problem playing roms of the games I had on it, like Populous, warlords, HitchHiker'sGuidettG, and SimCity. If I could find my old pong system, I'd so plug it in.
If you're referring to more recent 'old' games, sure. I can go back and play through them with no issue. In fact, I still go and buy older games. Sometimes I am surprised by things, like camera angles (recently bought DMC1). Nothing that wont stop me from playing it.
Personally, I believe graphics have spoiled people. Gives them an excuse to not play good olde classics. And it's a pathetic excuse in my opinion, as there are some great games in history that, regardless of graphics, are a blast to play.

I can, especially RPG's or other heavily plot based games. One thing I have found though is that I have more problems going back to old 3D games than I do to old 2D ones. 2D just seems kind of timeless where as after being spoilt by todays tech its really hard to go back to an ugly 3D game. I played Deus Ex again recently and while the gameplay still holds, up the graphics have not aged anywhere near as well. Even in the day the game was not famed for its graphics but its gameplay. Thank goodness the gameplay is still just as good as it was way back when. Games like Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape and Fallout 1 & 2 fair much better in the graphics department, its probably just me, but like I said 2D games just seem to age better.
I'm usually lucky to finish a game the first time. If I play through the campaign more than once, it usually means that it's got a /really/ short campaign with a lot of replayability, and by really short I mean two hours, three or four hours tops. If it's more than ten hours, it has to be exceptionally good for me to finish it the first time.
That said, I'm slowly but surely replaying Final Fantasy VII at the moment, and I intend to go back through the Zone of the Enders and Metal Gear Solid games at some point in the near future. However, it's been the better part of a decade since I've played any of those -- probably over a decade since I got to the final dungeon of FFVII and my little sister deleted my only save file. Boy was a harsh lesson learned that day. Point being, it takes a long time before I'm really interested in replaying something, if I ever am.

I can replay pretty much all of my games. If only I had a Dreamcast I would go back and play Shemnue 1 and 2. And Pen Pen, that game was truly weird and wonderful. I replay old pokemon games often, I trade my leveled up pokemon to another game then start a new game.

You bet I can. And have been doing so for the past 3 months. I'm just coming off of a PS1 binge now, right in time too for my long awaited Mass Effect November 2012(finally I get to play Mass Effect 3....after I beat 1 and 2 again).
I'm currently living in some sort of late-90s nostalgia-gasm, having bought a Sony Xperia Play and loaded all my old Playstation games onto it. Cool Boarders 2, THPS2, Final Fantasy 9, Gran Turismo 2.
I'm also replaying Fallout New Vegas. Trying to be a bad guy; ended up with bonkers amounts of positive karma. As opposed to being a good guy in my first playthrough, where I ended up hated by everyone.

I think a lot of it for me has to do with how a game has aged.
Some are timeless while others just... well look and play like absolute shit by today's standards.
It's unfortunate but that happens sometimes. I can't play the first MGS game without getting bored or annoyed by the controls that were perfected more and more as the series went on.
I think newer games are slowly spoiling and brainwashing us to only enjoy simpler games.

I can (and do) constantly replay my RTS games and the newer Pokemon titles (Gen III and up). I also replay various shooters like Half Life 2 (and its episodes) and of course I constantly play the good multiplayer shooters I happen to own (TF2, Red Orchestra 2 and BF3).
Now that I think about it, I pretty much replay every game I own constantly. Unless the game seriously lacked any replay value, like CoD:MW2 for example. Or have such dated mechanics that I just can't enjoy them anymore, like Pokemon titles before Gen III and such.

A lot of the posts have already mentioned some of the games I replay. But, the reality is, a lot of games provide a good enough experience to warrant a replay.
I can't count how many times I have gone through Betrayal at Krondor (one of my favorite RPGs ever) or the first 2 Fallout games, Baldur's Gate series and Quest for Glory games. All still fun and, in a lot of ways, the familiarity is what appeals. Its like being able to revisit a favorite holiday spot or catch-up with old friends.

I admire your mental endurance for being willing to replay Persona 3. I could if I gave it lots of time, but knowing what a trek that was after beating Nyx for the first time, it will take awhile for me to muster the courage to tackle it again.SomeLameStuff said:
Oh yeah, I'd definitely do that. The best part of replaying games from your childhood is how you've mentally matured and can now make calculated decisions, where you were just blindly flailing about as a child. It's so satisfying to see how much easier previously frustrating games can be. I just aced Mickey Mouse's "Magical Quest" a week ago. With an adult's mentality, it was a cakewalk.
