Your a rather interesting drunk my good fellow!

So your saying that humans can interact with the divine through the deeper part of their minds? Fair enough, carn't say i would subscribe to such a belief, psychology could reveal some more likely answers.
Let's talk about Jimi Hendrix for a minute. I'm 100% sure I have NO idea what the fuck is going though his head. However, from what I can see in his performance he projects his beautiful guitar for within himself. This is getting to complex for this forum to get me thinks...

It's not divine it's euphoric, but for all intents and purposes it may as well be divinity.
This guy makes a good point. Hendrix does look genuily euphoric, as do many other artist's, for instance i would say that the Iron Maiden crew look equally euphoric and happy whilst playing live. This is because they are doing what they love, making and playing music, and it must be an apsoulty wonderful feeling. Another exhample of this wonderful, magical feeling could be when your in love. It may well feel like being connected to some magic divine power, and those elated feelings could compare to that of religous experiences.

However, it is quite a jump in reasoning to decide that this euphornic feeling relates back to a spiritual connection with a divine power. Besides, if you subscribe to such a belief, you will find yourself confronted by hunderds of philsophical questions relating to the exact nature of God and the divine.

Eh I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't give the response I truly agree with. There isn't anything divine about anything and the soul is a concept, not something we have within us but merely a description of how we differ in personality.
Also the thing with Jimi Hendrix is probably just him getting some sort of euphoria (or at the very least a hallucination) caused bu being surrounded by weed, acid, and hippies for so long.

This is because they are doing what they love, making and playing music, and it must be an absolutely wonderful feeling. Another example of this wonderful, magical feeling could be when your in love. It may well feel like being connected to some magic divine power, and those elated feelings could compare to that of religious experiences.

However, it is quite a jump (an irrational jump) in reasoning to decide that this euphornic feeling relates back to a spiritual connection with a divine power rather than psychological reasons. Besides, if you subscribe to such a belief, you will find yourself confronted by hundreds of philosophical questions relating to the exact nature of God and the divine.
Both of you have made me light a cigar to contemplate your points. For that I applaud the few people that can push me to smoke... However my primary question was of !ART! and both of you fail to relate a common experience on the matter. Necrofudge I 100% agree with you as there is no god or divine being of the soul; however there are few, very few, that can know art. riskroWe I also agree that when we give up our selves we find peace, but I feel its only temporary. As everything in the world.

I don't know about divinity itself, but I guess you can feel a sense of inner peace and total fufillment through doing something.

What you are talking about is religious/spiritual experience. The phenomena is without question real, whether it actually is as spark of divinity within you or not. I believe that it is.
