As an American, I love Canada. I think that hockey is the greatest sport on Earth and that the sportsmanship shown through it is reflective of the great attitude that Canadian people embody as a whole. I am happy to know that if anything ever went too far south here (i.e. a draft), that I could move up north and be greeted by a fantastic lot of people who would be welcoming and friendly as long as I were willing to be open. I would want to move to western Canada because English is 100% prevalent there, and I would HAVE to live in a hockey town (Winnipeg's open now!). I am confident in the good nature of the Canadian people.

All that being said, fuck the Habs.

Canada...Yeah. It can be cold up here. But not all year around. And there's only a Tim's on every corner in Halifax. But,it's a great place to live.

Yeah, really prissy Québeckers (I have no idea how to spell that) can get upset about pretty much anything. If I had to guess, your parents were speaking English, right? That's about all it takes for some people.
Yeah, they were speaking English, because the waitress was speaking English to us. Though I can't speak very much French, my parents both can. If the waitress had spoken in French, my parents probably would have spoken in French back to her.

And it's not like we were even in Quebec at the time. We were visiting a family friend in Calgary, Alberta.
Well, I got nothin'.
