"Cancelled" games you would have liked to play...EDIT 3

Some games, for whatever reason, get cancelled (or get a complete redesign).

What are some cancelled games you would have liked to play? This includes versions of games that got a complete redesign or games that appear to be cancelled.



EDIT 1: You can include sequels that were hinted at by games.

Also, check out unseen64.net for more cancelled/prototype games. I mentioned it because it may be of interest to some of you, especially for replying to this thread.

"Diabolical Adventures of Tobu"
It was suppose to be Sony's answer to Nights: Into Dreams.

"Torc: Legend of the Ogre Crown"
Reminds me a bit of Crash Bandicoot, but you're inside a "kill wheel."

?Dead Phoenix?
Panzer-Dragoon like game. I would have loved to have played it.

"Werewolf: The Heart of Gaia"
Play as a garou in the World of Darkness.

"100 Bullets"
Based on the comic book. Seemed pretty neat.

"Jest"
Playing a Jester in a suit sounded like an intriguing Nintendo 64 game.

The space version, although I don't mind the end result.

The realistic version.

"Fifth Phantom Saga"
Looked kind of cool, ordering around a ghost partner.

"Grotesque", an RPG parody with pythonesque humour. Don't think it's officially cancelled, but it's been on hiatus so long that we've probably lost it now.

A few months ago I'd have said "Beyond Good & Evil 2", but that series came back from the grave (OK, it's not a series yet, but it was planned as one).

I also remember hearing rumours that after the success of "Torment" another Planescape RPG was in the works. Don't know how true these were, but I'd love to play that one.

lord of the rings the white council. i mean come one who here wouldnt have loved to have an rpg where you can roam through a middle earth inspired by the books and the films.

Online Solaris-arena battles in the Battletech universe, awesome looking engine, played really well according to all who tested the beta...
Canned by EA at roughly the same time as they got the rights for Harry Potter.

I suppose it was never officially announced, but Psychonauts 2. The original was set up for a sequel, but Tim Schafter has pretty much said it's not going to happen.
