Candy Badges?

Soooooo.......can anyone tell me how people get those candy related badges? I got one for candy corn, and while I'm not complaining (the badge is pretty funny to me) I am curious as to how they are given and why. Thoughts, fellow Escapists?

The candy badges were given out during halloween event that is no longer active.

So... wait till halloween and something similar should appear.

They're from last Halloween. If I recall they gave a different one out each day in October for viewing specific Escapist content. I think you can still get them if you go view that content.
