After days of tinkering with the firewall, slamming my head into the keyboard and threatening the PC, i've decided to turn to the forums for some help.
The trouble is, that i can't play most of my games online. Battlefield 2 -error connecting to server- NwN -cannot connect to master server-
CoH -Cannot connect to relic online-
to name a few. As i wrote before, i've changed a few settings on the firewall, like opening the proper ports, lowering the security settings and even disabling it. Still, it does not work. (using a swedish firewall, Telia secure surf)
I would have just given up, but the thing that i find so strange is that i can still run WoW and Diablo 2 without any problems. Leading me to belive the problem lays beyond the firewall, still, i can't figure it out. You'd think that DISABLING the firewall would be enough, but noooo.
Any ideas, or atleast any info i can upload so that i can get helped?

Have you tried switching it on and off again?

:)

Only thing I can suggest is reading the manual for help : http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:AEW1YgJ0LXUJ:www.telia.se/files/E620_UserManual.pdf+Telia+secure+surf+problems+connecting&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=uk&client=firefox-a

May not be your problem at all, it may be the network or your ISP that's causing the problems. Are you connecting directly to the internet from your house?

Since it wasn't mentioned- have you checked both firewalls? I am assuming that you have both a router and a software firewall. Thought I should ask specifically.

The_root_of_all_evil - Yes, tried switching it on and off ^^
Read the manual, but it doesn't offer any help. Wich partially made me believe it is something aside from the firewall.

Frankdux- Connecting directly from the house. Atleast, far as i know.

Antiantagonist- Don't have a router, just a firewall. Even at that, i've check all possible (what seems possible for someone who doesn't have a slightest idea what i'm doing anyway :p )
options, but no avail.

Have you made sure its plugged in? /IT crowd
Is there not a place on the site for the game dedicated to troubleshooting? It might have a system check or something, its worth a shot.

Be sure to look for any and all available updates for the games and drivers as well.

I've had games that don't work for reasons that I assumed would have nothing to do with a patch or update, but due to interdependencies in the code were required.

Sorry, I did a quick search for similar problems but it came up blank, which makes me think it's something your end. Without any detail it would be really hard to fix it. Can you ping other locations?
