Can't connect to steam?

For some reason after completeling the Crash Course level in L4D1 I got disconnected from Steam and can't reconnet (even rebooted my comp.)

Anyone else having this problem?

Yup, Steams offline.

Well, I'm on steam and can play games just the chats offline.

Idk what's wrong, but Steam won't open for me.
I'll download it, then try to open it, but I'll get a Fatal Error message

Oh good, I just asked this in my tf2 thread. Is there a way to check steam's status? to figure out if it's just me or everyone.

Mine crashed multiple times yesterday. It just would refuse to connect or would disconnect because it felt sad.

It seems to have fixed itself though. Ah steam things you do to me, if only you would like my mic we could be friends.

Yeah, it's down for me too, plus half my games have disappeared from the list. Sigh...
