can't get into Far Cry 2

No way. When I played FarCry 2 I made sure my vehicle was at top speed when I rampaged through a village or stronghold then bailed out of the car, blew said car up and opened a can of whoop ass.

in far cry 2 stealth means stealth. you must be slow and you guessed it stealthy you cant get impatient.

anyway far cry 2 sucks why are you playing it anyway?

Yeah, I did not think it was very goo when I first got it. I have since gone back to it and had some fun, I dont think I'll ever finish it though.

I found Just milling through some of the, smaller, CP was the way to go.

Also, use a sniper rifle.

I bought Far Cry 2 because I wanted to sneak up to an enemy strong hold and see just how many of them I could take out before they realized what was happening. However, to do so would take multiple tries and every time I die and I have to drive back there. If its a mission I might not have to go back that far but if I have any location to go to that is far away I'll drive there and get killed on the way. They shoot you and your vehicle breaks down so you can't just run away. Safe houses help but why can't I just restart where I left off? Just getting to friend missions has proved horribly difficult. In any other game there would be a bit of load time then I could just try again. So far this has been a complete game breaker for me. Is there any way around this problem?

No there is not and I hate to break it you Far Cry 2 is terrible it is nearly impossible to be stealthy in it.
You're better of running in guns blazing trust me I had the game and you could not be stealthy in it at all.

i was able to be stealthy to an extent, some of it depends on the luck of the draw, where the enemies are and what direction they are facing
of course i would always fuck it up somehow
but if you plan it right it is very possible to be stealthy

Well I was stealthy stealthy like a fox related to Rambo Santa with an assault rifle .

I got this game free with an Nvidia card , a year ago, I couldn't get into it either. Mostly due to the weird driving, I prefer 3rd person driving, and for the life of me couldn't figure out how to change the camera angle.

I couldn't get into FarCry 2 as well, after playing Fallout 3 I found FC2 basically a worse copy of F3.

Normally i wait until my bf has finished his games and then i steal and play them. I watched Far Cry 2 and got fairly bored, even he got bored. I agree that the game does need some sort of quick travel like that in oblivion
