Cant miss titles?

Well after sucking it up i delved in some more of the mainstream titles, crysis 2 / deadspace 2 / assassins creed:brotherhood and i found myself pleasently surprised. i liked all three and ive spent plenty of time on all 3. So i ask you people of escapist what other good games came out recently?

I'm not sure, maybe Portal 2, Alice: Madness Returns?

And what was wrong with mainstream titles before? Were they not hipster enough for you? ;P

haha i was expecting hipster bull. Mainstream let me down since fable 2, halo, call of duty, brink while relatively unnoticed games like amnesia and mount and blade have really wow'ed me.
