Can't sleep.

Well, I'm not going to be sleeping tonight. Why? Quite simple. It is almost 1:45 AM here. And I just finished watching an episode of Doctor Who. Which episode, you may ask? "Blink". If you've seen it, you know. If you haven't, I could describe it to you, but it wouldn't be enough. I went in with a description of the episode...and it wasn't enough. I was sitting at the computer, trembling as I was typing, for the next hour, and I am still looking behind me every so often.

So, have there ever been any moments, on TV or otherwise, that actually scared you to the point of not sleeping that night?

Oh boy. I love that episode. I was suspicious of statues for quite some time, and still am somewhat, after seeing it.

Anyway, try to sleep with your eyes open, maybe?

Dude, I'm inside my bedroom, and I'm still making sure that no statues are right behind me. I think sleeping in any form is out of the question.

Great episode, but yeah, creepy as hell. I already thought those statues were up to something.

You know what the best part is? You know Steven Moffat is the new executive producer right? Guess what the monster is going to be in a two-parter?

You'll be delighted to know that the trailer for the next series features the Weeping Angels. :D

In all seriousness, that episode kept me awake as well, and Moffat's earlier Doctor Who episodes haunt me occasionally as well.
Generally, I only have problems sleeping when I've got adrenaline running or I've seen something very funny.

Oh dear.

I don't even watch Dr Who regularly and that episode scares the fuck out of me.

But, OT no. TV's never done that to me before.

The only thing that kept me from sleeping at night was when I watched [REC]

I couldn't sleep last night, but, that wasn't fear...it was the neighbours fucking dog whining and howling relentlessly.

So I guess that doesn't belong in this thread...

Any Saw movie at 10pm usually keeps me up. Not from fear but mere gut wretching from the extreme violent deaths.
Charlie and the Chocolate factory (the original) can also keep me awake but this time it is through fear, fear of the strange evil little Umper-Lumpers and that creepy boat.

Just remember. They aren't real.

Besides, they don't even kill you either.
No. They just send you decades into the past, then feed off the lifeforce left behind between your normal and new death dates. Oh yeah, and the face those statues make right before touching you...
