Simply do not allow yourself to play those video games. At least not until you've put in a decent study session.

Set up some sort of schedule where you study on a regular basis. Every day, for a couple hours, max. You don't want to study for longer periods of time, otherwise you'll burn out.

If you're having trouble sitting down and actually focusing, use something as a reward for after you've studied, like those video games. As for staying focused during, try some music. It's okay to stop studying every few minutes to bob to that tune. Allowing yourself to stop from time to time, even if only for a few minutes, will help alleviate any stress you're feeling because you're forcing yourself to study. The more of a routine you get into, the better you'll feel about actually studying.

Also, rewriting something you've just read, or your notes can also help. The more you write something, in your own words, the easier it becomes to remember it.

When you've managed to sit down and study for a while, then allow yourself to play a video game, you'll find yourself feeling like you've actually accomplished something, and that you deserve to play that video game. The more often you study, the better it'll feel. May even make it easier for every consecutive session. Best of luck.

Try to put your priorities in order and go from there. I'm sure games won't be at the top of the list. Some things should be that important and for me that is enough to focus. However if not, I think to study in the library is a great idea, but for me that would be too quiet, but it may work for you. Really it has to come from you, that you think it most to be top priority and make it happen! You can do it. Some get all those other things out of the way like gaming time and friend time before they can study as their mind will still be thinking of games, friends, going out, etc. But really, make time for the more importantant things. You'll feel better once they are behind you and not still yet to do.

Make a detailed list of all the benefits of graduating with a degree. Take a look at it everyday when you get up from bed and get into bed. It should serve as a reminder as to why you're paying a lot of money for a degree. I think it'd also help to calculate the average wage of high school drop outs, high school diploma/G.E.D. holders, associates degree, bachelors degree, masters degree, Ph.D., et cetera. You'll soon realize that education pays off a lot in the long run.

-Make a buddy take your power cords so you are not tempted to game.
-Go to the library in order to focus better.
-Make a decision whether you want to pass or fail your exams.
-Get some friends to study with.

I'm feeling the pressure of exams too, and I find that doing these things help me, so I hope they help you. Good luck, dude!

1. Turn off the computer.
2. Turn off your internet connection.
3. Make a guest account on your computer with no games.
4. Time yourself for an hour, do useful stuff while that timer is counting; do less useful stuff afterwards.

That's all I can say.

First off, make it very inconvient for yourself to play games/use your computer. Put 'em in a box, wrap it with duct tape, then put IT in another box, wrap it, etc.
Just use a library computer if you need a computer.

Also, bust out the pencil and write. It keeps your attention better.
