Capcom has always been one to not really bother with the PC favoring the consoles.
Over the past year or two they have been porting there console title's to PC like Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter 4 and Dark Void.

Do you think there ports are of decent quality? Especially given there track record. As we all know the Resident Evil 4 PC port sucked Compared to there Gamecube and Playstation 2 Counterparts. Horrid Video scene's still scar my mind to this day! Devil May Cry 3 (I think it was) for pc wasn't much better in that well I've never played it... It refuses my legit cd key! Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 on PC was reasonable I must admit.

I'd say I dislike ports normally but these was well done and at least feel right on the pc, I always felt RE4 felt just wrong on pc.

[sub] Sorry for the rapidness of the 2 topics I have a habit of noting topics I want to make into my PDA for later posting [/sub]

Only Capcom port for PC I own is SFIV, and it plays rather nicely, and they were decent enough to add support for gamepads overall, whereas most companies don't bother and just add support for 360 controllers. So as far as my experience goes, they have my thumbs up. Also, I'll be waiting for Dead Rising 2 for PC with online Co-op like the coming of new baby jesus.

I'd personally like more PC Ports from Japanese game companies overall. As long as they are decent, of course, not a mutilated, coded-in-a-hurry version like Sega&Sonic All Stars Racing.

Fighting games don't belong on the computer, that's just wrong!
Explain why? If it has controller Compatibility why would it be any different from say playing it on your 360 if you had it on your pc and a wired or wireless receiver and wireless 360 controller on your pc

Actually...They work pretty well with controller support.

Now, platformers on the other hand...Analog sticks work better for precise movement then WASD, imo. But...CONTROLLER SUPPORT!

Well if they have controller support then yeah, but....christ, imagine Soul Caliber (with no controller support) on the PC, your fingers would get tired fast just trying to do one super combo

I haven't actually got any of them, but from what I've read Capcom has been paying greater attention to its PC ports - both SFIV and RE5 got excellent reviews, with extra praise extended to the quality of the ports.

Plus I don't know, it feels wrong, I mean there are flash fighting games but other ones (fighting games made by big companies), just doesn't feel right, I mean I'm sure its fine but still

-No online multiplayer, or even LAN multiplayer.
-Inability to customize KeyBoard controls.
-No AntiAlias support.
-No data cache. If you bump into something and the game is forced to load new data for it, loads it on the fly from the HDD, which causes stuttering (The House of the Dead levels are particularly horrible for this).

It's a horrible horrible port, the likes of which I hope we never see again.
