On the one hand, I don't see why this wouldn't be localized. 3, 4, Generations, and the Freedom games all have been, and they've got their own fanbase in English-speaking countries too. On the other hand, Portable 3rd and Frontier G were never brought over for some reason.

Now I am kinda wishing I'd waited to get Generations though. I should've figured they would eventually give it the "Ultimate" treatment like they did with the previous two.
Good news, if you have a copy of Generations, you can transfer your save data to this game. The other big news is that this game is completely cross-compatible with the 3DS Monster Hunter X/Generation game as well. So you don't have to replay all the old stuff.
Eh, my problem with it is less "have to replay all of this stuff" and more "I should've just waited to get the entire package in the first place".

Pretty sure this will see West love ... Nintendo invested heavily in promoting MH to the West, and with better options for downloadable content on the Switch it should see the light of dayas anadditional game that will help broach new customers to their console who didn't buy a 3DS. I have the 3DS ver. and Iwould likely pick this up for my Switch because the idea of bringing MH to the big screen as well asa small one is one I'm willing to invest into. Plus I'm a hyperconsumerist shill.

Even though MH has slowly been losing me due to it getting more and more goofy as well as pathetically easy. I have to agree with everyone else. It wouldn't make sense for them to not bring it over. This style of game is getting more and more popular. You got the big one Monster Hunter, the Toukiden series, the God Eater series, the people behind God Eater also made Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice, Final Fantasy Explorers, and Ragnarok Odyssey games. Not bringing MH to a console will just leave another hole for one of these other games to fill. Toukiden, God Eater, and Ragnarok are all on both consoles and handheld. I don't think Capcom can sit this out and let these other games fill this void.

Would've saved some money, right?

Goofy how? I'm rather curious as to what defines this o3o

As for the difficulty... Yeah, little will compare to Freedom Unite's G rank in my experience. But I feel like that was extremely hard slanted against the player. At least now it's a bit more balanced (Though 3 Ultimate made it way too easy for sure. They got it somewhat right in 4 Ultimate. I wonder how the balance is in XX)

With the super attacks. It feels a bit too anime-ish. Yeah, I know that Toukiden had super attacks but in that game we're fighting demons. MH might have dragons and such. But they're no different to this world than what a deer would be to ours. So being able to shoot a supernova out of your bowgun just felt weird.

As for difficulty, that started to go down around 3U. 3U was till challenging to me but was far easier than FU. 4U was a complete disappointment for me. I beat Shagaru Magala using Nibelsnarf armour and the Demon Isle light bowgun. I took one hit just to see the damage, died instantly, and then decided to never let it touch me again, which it didn't. And when it comes to Generations, I didn't hit any type of snag until the mission the Fated Four. But my slow-and-easy fighting style is suited for a mission like that so I end up running out of time.

I like to think this problem for me was caused by Freedom Wars. That game is the Dark Souls equivalent of these types of games.
