'Okami.

We won't be making any more of these games.

Sucks to be you.

Lololololololol'

Why do you like seeing me cry, Capcom?
After playing Persona 4, I have a question of you Daystar.

Do you pronounce Okami "oh-kah-mee" or "oak-ah-mee"? I've been pondering this for a little while and since you've got this particular game sewed onto your soul, I figured you were the best forum poster to ask.

OT: Dear Capcom,

I still play Breath of Fire 3, DMC3 and Megaman Legends.

Please remember the time when you didn't suck massive amounts of horse testicles at producing decent games.

Sincerely,

CCM
Oh-Kah-me.

Her first name is a little different.

Amaterasu.

See, I say it as 'a-ma-ta-ra-su', but since it's a Japanese name, the proper pronunciation is 'a-ma-ta-ras', since the Japanese don't pronounce the 'u' sound.

See, I've heard it in Persona 4 videos pronounced as "oak-ah-me", so it's really weird and confusing. Perhaps is has to do with it being a stand alone name. When I hear it pronounced the Persona way, it's always attached to another name like Kusumi-no-Okami or Izanagi-no-Okami. I'm pretty sure I've seen similar in Street Fighter or Tekken, but I cannot say for certain on those.

But I trust your judgment in the matter.

EDIT: I just realized something. See the cover? Now remember Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

I'm sorry.

Well yes and no. :p It also depends on the word, the part that's being stressed, and even accentual/dialect differences. But typically, yeah, if a word contains a "su" it's a decent idea not to put too much stress on the U.
