Seriously you must be sterile any exclusive for PS3 I spam it on every xbox site I can find.Straying Bullet said:I suppose Microsoft paid big bucks towards Capcom to keep it exclusive. This shit pisses me off, despite being a 360 only gamer.
Yea, even if I do get DR2, I don?t particularly see this as a problem: what, I wont be able to get the traditional Capcom overpriced day 1 dlc? I always feel too insulted to buy crap like that before they ever pick any console favorites.twm1709 said:... for a small price, that is.So it's like a present, something that we gave back to the original Dead Rising fans.
Just because the trial is cheap doesn't mean that everyone who downloads it will pay to unlock it, yet Capcom would still be charged for the initial download [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/90344-Sony-Charges-Third-Parties-for-Selling-DLC].psrdirector said:um the trial cost 5$ a popJamash said:Is this because Capcom didn't want to foot the bill for the bandwidth used for downloading the demo on the PSN?
From what I can gather Case Zero was quite a popular download and quite substantial in file size, so I can understand Capcom not wanting to have to pay Sony for every copy of the trial that's downloaded, especially when each trial downloaded isn't a guaranteed purchase.
As far as I know Microsoft passes on the bandwidth charge to the user, as part of the Gold fee, not the developers for hosting demos.psrdirector said:why would you download it if you didnt plan on playing the 5$ prequal/demo? and I really dont think that affected there thinking, they get charged by Xbox to have it up on xbox live as well if you didnt know.Jamash said:Just because the trial is cheap doesn't mean that everyone who downloads it will pay to unlock it, yet Capcom would still be charged for the initial download [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/90344-Sony-Charges-Third-Parties-for-Selling-DLC].psrdirector said:um the trial cost 5$ a popJamash said:Is this because Capcom didn't want to foot the bill for the bandwidth used for downloading the demo on the PSN?

I downloaded the trial but I didn't think it was good enough to unlock, if I had done this on the PSN rather than X-Box Live then Capcom would still have had to pay for the bandwidth I used to download the trial.
It's not a lot ($0.16/GB), but if enough people downloaded the trial without unlocking it then that could seriously cut into their profit margins.
Roughly speaking, if for every one person who paid $5 to unlock the trial, 35 people just downloaded it without unlocking it, then Capcom would lose money.
Thank you, my good man!Mistermixmaster said:Aww, I didn't know about Case: Zero and Case: West until now... Now I feel snubbed.
