I'm not sure...

I think he could have gone a step further...

"You're right. All media that has an effect on a large audience should be restricted from depicting supernatural phenomena or realms of belief associated with the occult.

When the bible has been edited to remove references of witchcraft, sorcery, necromancy, divination, resurrections, super-natural healings, and the control of elements -both fire and water- then capcom will gladly seek to eliminate all occult references from future games, with heart felt apologies."

Capcom just ***** slapped the clergy. That's funny.

If only they'd had this sort of balls before having to shoehorn sheva into RE5... *sigh*
I rather liked Sheva. Plus every Resident Evil game has had a female and male partnership.

Sheva was a Mary Sue awkwardly shoehorned into a franchise that was complete without her for the SOLE purpose of proving that the game wasn't racist.

This is similar to how they disavowed the accusations of whites vs. blacks by throwing in several white enemies apparently based off of Saddam Hussein. To anyone who has even a grade-school grasp of geography, throwing white people into rural West Africa makes about as much sense as finding black people in central China.

As for a male/female partnership, I see no reason why deviating from that is necessarily a bad thing, but if you're a staunch traditionalist THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH USING JILL. She's essentially the most likeable character in the franchise, but due to the fact she wasn't black, she was killed off in a fucking flashback cutscene and replaced with a much more politically correct ally.

As for sheva herself: she was bland, shallow, impulsive, cliched, and actually rather stupid.

There are exactly two reasons she could be considered likable:
1) You're one of the PC asswipes who anally raped the original concept in the first place, in which case I can only express <url=http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k22/Spartan_Jackal/Raws/DIE.jpg>sorrowful distaste for you.

2) (I'm guessing this is yours.) The amount of fanservice given by her outfits (which make absolutely no sense as far as combat practicality goes.) Particularly the tribal outfit, which has her prancing around half-naked in a sad attempt to dissuade us from becoming angry that she ruined the game.

Are you sad? You sound sad. As for her being bland, shallow, impulsive, cliched and actually rather stupid, that holds true for every Resident Evil character. Every time they've introduced a new character every single one of them was a dipstick when they had their first encounter with Umbrella's experiments.

Jill's "death" was just a plot device to have her later on as a boss fight, and if you really thought she was dead even 5 minutes into the game's opening you're an idiot.

As for Sheva's default outfit, what makes that less combat effective than anything Chris wore? Yes I'm sure that wearing a t-shirt would make all the difference in the world to her instead of her tube top. Or for that matter, what made Jill's old outfit any more combat effective? Compare everything the characters in the Resident Evil games wore to one another. Usually it's been boots, pants, a t-shirt and some kind of side pack.

And no, I'm not staunch traditionalist, yourself. I'm always interested in seeing what's new with the series. I don't get mad when the games try something new and it doesn't work. What I do develop is a growing <url=http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k22/Spartan_Jackal/Raws/DIE.jpg>distaste for asswipes like yourself who nerd rage over the dumbest shit, which really just reflect much more poorly on you than anybody who doesn't have a problem with it.
