True. Being scared and being in the midst of an intense situation, such as being in a hallway filled with zombies with no ammo, are two different things. The majority of a survival horror game being scary is tied up in its atmosphere, not the intesity of the situation. Any old shooter can give you that, but sitting up at night with the lights off creeping through an old mansion or a empty police station can really give you the heebie-jeebies. I don't see why the two can't be in the same game and still be considered both intense and scary.Blindrooster said:I dont get very scared when I'm in a hallway filled with zombiez......and a shotgun with oodles of ammo. gotta make ya feel helpless to scare.BrionJames said:Why can't it be both? But, people are scared by different things.
apparently someone involved in making RE5 (be it the director or Wesker's voice actor) I read somewhere said that Wesker won't be coming back in RE6, thatRadoh said:I just roll with the trends, if they say Chris is now three times bigger than what he was, what other way is there to go?duchaked said:so uhh...take away the tank controls? that's a start
everything you said here...had better come trueRadoh said:My prediction? Leon S Kennedy, back with a vengeance and roughly twice the size of Chris Redfield in RE5.
So much muscle he refuses to use a gun and instead runs (hobbles) around punching zombies in the face, decapitating Tyrants by putting them in headlocks, and arm wrestling El Gigantes.
Oh, and Wesker's back. Do you really think you can kill Wesker? Not a chance friend.
Plus, its Wesker, it took aI still don't think that's enough.Shot to the face, falling out of a stealth bomber INTO a volcanic crater, getting shot like a million times in the chest, ran through with not one, but TWO giant knives, and he was still fit to fight. He fell in lava and STILL was a threat. It took two missiles and a lava bath to "put him down".
The problem is that zombies are boring now. They aren't really scary anymore. Granted, the motorcycle riders and all of that was way too much, but there needs to be something else in there.Carlston said:So no more ammo dumps making it so we gun down entire cities?
Bring back ZOMBIES not infected super motorcycle riding, gun using super men?
Wait.... did no one think the first three (and change) were fun to play? I like the play style of the old ones. I don't need to shoot something every fifteen seconds for the game to be considered fun to play. Do the rest of you?John Funk said:Should Resident Evil be fun to play and a competent shooter, or should it be scary?
