Care to help with a quote?

Ok, so I was approached by a friend (one who takes deep pride in his philisophical views, mind you) with an incomplete quote that I was challenged with completing by the end of the weekend. Well, here's Sunday and I'm still drawing a blank.

Sooo, I was wondering if anybody had any clue as to what the answer is/may be?

Here is the quote.

*If ignorance is bliss, then denial is ???*

If you've any ideas, please don't hesitate to hazard a guess!

Google search tells me the answer is "divine."
It may also be, "like sitting in a hot tub with a bottle of champagne." The search wasn't exactly clear on that point.

Denial isn't fake ignorance. Ignorance is not being aware of something. Denial is being fully aware but willfully rejecting it.
