While it will never get back to the Golden Age of Cartoonetwork, (Samurai Jack, Megas XLR, Toonami) Adventure Time is actually pretty good. A few days ago I fell upon MAD and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't completely horrible.

They always aired Samurai Jack episodes in a random order. I hated that! I loved that show... never found out if he got back :(

Well I miss it too, and I understand how they've ruined it (Haven't sat down to actually watch a show when I wasn't killing time), but some of the shows MAY HAVE HAD (don't flame meh!) actors who couldn't continue...acting. I understand that that's not always the case, but maybe one or two shows that happened to. I never cared for Dragonball Z on Toonami, but I watched Bobobo (BOBOBO FTW!), One Piece, Naruto, and other stuff.

Then there's Adult Swim. Ho-ho now THAT'S something I can talk about. So many shows I liked on there that they had to remove some of them. For one: Super Jail/Superjail(However you spell it)--An awesome show that went bye-bye after 10 15-minute episodes! They released it on DVD but I think they could've gone farther. Robot Chicken has made me laugh so hard I cry and some of the other older shows caught my attention as well. FMA for one, Bleach, even though I never got into either, Venture Bros. is tolerable but lacking.

Yeah I loved Cartoon Network with some of the awesomest shows ever, which are now attached to my brain, like PPG, Johnny Bravo, the old Scooby-Doo (seriously I never noticed 'til recently that they had canned laughter in the background), the Looney Tunes marathons which preferably included Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, Wil E. Coyote, and Bugs Bunny. Any that contained those guys were my favorites. Here's another few little pieces of memory candy for you all that watched about 5-7 years ago: Miguzi. Code Lyoko.

Good night, everybody!

Edit: Oh yes and here's an easter egg for you. Watch the Christmas special of Ben 10. If you are a Naruto fan and know everything about early episodes then you'll find a little...surprise near the end. (Hint: Konahamaru ;P)

Lets face it: there aren't that many ideas left out there for good new cartoons, and all the old good ones can't go on forever. Cartoon network is now producing crap (save for adventure time, thats some goooood cartoon) and reruns.

However, while they got boring, I don't hate them, because they had the decency to actually end there better shows before they ruined them (ended Ed, Edd, and Eddy perfectly, may it live in infamy) unlike nickelodeon, which is producing crap and ALSO WHORING THERE SHIT INTO A SHALLOW GRAVE. They ruined spongebob, god dammit...

But yeah, I'll miss you toonami

Well sure, as that saying goes, even a blind squirrel finds a nut eventually. However, just wait, it won't be too long before Cartoon Network has their own line of teen "popstars".

It just seems like cartoons are "going out of style" for some reason. All the channels that used to show some pretty good cartoons that not only kids, but adults as well could enjoy, like Disney and Nickelodeon, are just aiming for these stupid reality shows now. Geez, Toon Disney didn't even last long and I'm surprised Nicktoons Network is still going. A lot of animators today must be out of a job.

The reality shows wouldn't be too bad if they were actually GOOD. I mean, Hannah Montana and her ilk have nothing on shows like Boy Meets World.

Holy crap...Foster's was AMAZING.

I stopped watching AS when Tim and Eric was aired. I watched 10 minutes into it and thought the world was ending because only during the End of Days would something that horrible...that stupid...and that gross be allowed to see the light of day.
I'll always have a soft spot for AS though because it introduced me to Anime. Back when they had actual adult swim intros and exits it was GOOD.

What this fellah said. When Toonami was gone, I shut off the TV and whenever my brother is on the channel, I immediately change it.

Okay so I looked up on youtube for a show called mengas XLR, and found that a guy had put the entire series up about 1 month ago. I was so happy. I saw every episode but the last 4. today I was going to finish seeing it but it turns out Cartoon network called copy right. I know they have the right to do that but the show lasted a little more than a year, and there was never a dvd released. To add to the pain, I found out that this show has an ending unlike most cartoon network shows that just get cancelled. Has cartoon network done anything to make you hate them.
Megas XLR is dead set on of the best cartoons I've ever seen in my entire life. But seriously, have you ever heard of torrents? I've had the entire show for years.

As for CN, Australia's CN is fucking garbage. The only redeeming feature was Adult Swim in the after hours of the night, where you could watch decent anime, and other shit like Venture Bros.

2 years ago, Aus CN SOLD Adult Swim to the Comedy Channel so fox subscribers would have to pay an extra 30 dollars just for the package to watch it. This included all my favourite shows including one Venture Bros.

It took 6 months for even Comedy to start showing adult swim, and by the time they did, all they showed of the 30 program roster was about 5 shows- they bought out all the animes and comedy programs from Adult Swim and only showed about 5 which were worthwhile to them. Meanwhile, CN has become a big fucking pussball of childrens shit.

Good move guys!

One word: "Bang."

Those who know their Cowboy Bebop will know what I mean.

The actor who voiced TOM also voiced Spike Spiegel in the English dub of Cowboy Bebop. "Bang" is the last word of both TOM and Spike. In short: CN sucks now because they cancelled Toonami.
Dude, that guy has a voice in just about everything,

Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Chowder are the only reason I watch Cartoon Network. Adult Swim... Eh. Wish Aqua Teen ran earlier.

lol seriously. I think Steve Blum has had SOME kind of role, whether big or small, in 90% of the cartoons I've ever watched, when I first heard he did the voice of Guilmon in one of the Digimon animes I seriously couldn't believe it, never would have guessed. Love his voice and the main reason I loved TOM from Toonami.

For one of the primary forces that popularized it in the west, they don't seem to be doing a terribly good job with anime now; Bakugan will leave you longing for the days of 4kids-dubbed Yugioh, and their best is reruns shown very late on Saturday nights.

edit: Also: Why do they play Tom and Jerry but not the Looney Tunes!? Everything Tom and Jerry have done was also done by the Looney Tunes only better. Cartoon Network is also showing live action shows. You are Cartoon Network, a network for cartoons! It's really hard to screw that up and yet there you go!
Wait, they don't show Looney Tunes anymore? That was my Saturday morning diet!

Also agreed on the live-action part. Seriously, even disregarding the whole Cartoon Network thing, Nick does a far better job with live-action kids shows; at least iCarly works as a guilty pleasure, far more than can be said about Unnatural History.

To list some positive things, however, Regular Show and Adventure Time are pretty awesome from what I've seen, and the new Scooby-Doo is far better than I ever expected the series to get.

Cartoon Network sucked when they stopped showing Looney Toons and the original Scooby Doo, then taunted us with it for a month or two before getting rid of it after the holiday season last year. And even more so now that they apparently replaced King of the Hill which is supposed to be on now and isn't.

I saw Slam Ball on there one day (basket ball with trampolines for anyone that doesn't know what Slam Ball is). I mean I love Slam Ball, but on CN, seriously!?
