Castle Crashers patch up and running

Well, it's official. [http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3172053] The five-month wait for a patch for one of the best arcade games of the year is finally being released. I just hope for the fans and for the sake of The Behemoth that it actually works. I'm not waiting until May for another patch.

Edit: just loaded up the game, it's not up yet. Hopefully it won't take long.

EDIT 2: It's online now, it should download automatically.

Good, I suppose.

I didn't have any technical problems with the game, but I did hear about the game crashing when people tried to match up over Live, so hopefully the patch will clear that up.

But like everyone else, my interest peaked a few months back. I'll still hop on for a few games every now and again, but the addiction hath been lost.

It's a shame to see that so many people have (understandably) given up by now. The Behemoth said it's mostly due to Microsoft's certification process, but I still find that hard to buy.

Still, amazingly fun game though. Maybe now I can get those 100 arena wins.

Well, hooray for not downloading it in the first place! I would have, but I can't access Live. That's why my Gamerscore is actually behind my real score by about 3 or 4000 points.

I never once had a problem with Castle Crashers, but eh either way. I think it's absurd that people are acting like this is a girlfriend that came back to you when you had already found someone new... for chrissakes, I've seen this happen over just about every game that's had a delayed patch and it just doesn't make sense to me.

I know what you mean. I would be somewhat understandable if it was a game which you had since traded in, but an Arcade game which is still on your hard drive... You paid for it, you can't really trade it in, so have you deleted it or are not playing it out of spite?

Personally I think it's good news, because my brother is visiting for Christmas and I'm going to play through Castle Crashers with.

So I can switch weapons while playing as alien hominid? And won't be stuck with that damn spade or shovel or whatever it was... EXCITEMENT IF IT'S UP

I never had a problem with the game, but hooray I guess. I love that game for co-op if I have a few friends over and we're bored with Gears by now.

this is unfortunate for those who've already seen everything there is to see, but great news for those who will be downloading the game in the future. better late than never, i suppose. i've only had the game for two weeks, so i'll certainly benefit from this.

The magic and excitment of the game has dwindled. If this had happened, say, a month after the game came out I'd be interested more, because I still had friends playing it then. Now I'll have to fight tooth and nail to get them off GoW2 and L4D. Fun.

Too late for me as well. Haven't booted up the game in a while. Maybe on new years the lady friend and I will boot it up for some drunken hilarity, but at this point I don't see myself feeling the affects of the patch...

Also, holy shit did I forget how good this game was. Also also, I still haven't figured out how to get the AH gun. I do own the game, I just can't get around the whole pitchfork thing, especially with only one controller.
