since Movie Bob finally gave us the LONG over due Pizza Cats [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-big-picture/5495-Found-in-Translation] Big Picture ep we've been waiting for, I thought it would be a good time to bring up

the Samurai Pizza Cats game that came out on the NES, cause, EVERY thing had an NES game over there damn near....

now, with out being able to actually READ Japaneses, i can't really tell you want its 'about' per say, what i can tell you how ever, is that the story, as told in Ninja Gaiden style cut scenes is structured exactly like the anime it self, with each stage being an 'episode', and each 'episode' being selectable in what ever order you want.

at the Start of each stage you pick which of the main three (Speedy, Guido, or Polly) you wanna control and start the stage, and at any time during the stage you can call in The Rescue Team (General Catton, Bat Cat, Meowzma O' Tool, and Spritz the Cat). the difference between the mane 3 are, slight really coming down to the special attacks, the Rescue Team on the other hand, all their differences are in tact, Catton is the strongest thus can break boulders, Bat Cat fly's, Meowzma digs holes, and Spritz swims, though using their ability's (like flying or digging) uses up the 'helper meter' which refills from ether the 'bell' item or over time when you switch back to which ever of the main three you picked. special attacks use the 'nippon' bar, and just like the health meter, is shared between every one, its also a 3 stage system to, with stage 3 being a screen wide nuke that kills or damn near kills everything, in the refresher run i played bosses could only take two and a couple normal hits before dieing, though i remember that not holding true later in the game (mostly the Bad Bird boss fight)

the music reminds me a lot of Ninja Gaiden, but give its from Tecmo I'm not really surprised

the enemy's are strange some being taken from the show, like the cannon fodder Ninja Crows others just kinda out there .... like the guitar playing octopus, or the ... thing, washing its hair with bubbles that home in on you, and the bosses are just as strange, like the gold fish with a woman's face, most bosses aren't from the show it self though. speaking of characters, bloody near EVERY ONE is in it, Princess Vi, Big Al, The Rude Noise, you can name them they are probably in it some where, ether in a cut scene or as a boss.

which 'begs the question' (thank you catchpa) is it worth playing?
if you like retro games, you could do worse, its over all, kinda easy cept the last stage then the difficulty spikes, but the characters look like the should, and from what i could under stand of the cut scenes act like they should, so yeah, i say give it a go
