who actually achieved the impossible by catching/trading for all the pokemon in an given game and was it worth it?

I achieved my goal in Pokemon ruby and i felt like the man for about a month, and then the excitement left, then a felt like i wasted my time, then i forgot, and now here i am...

But, I did. And then was told to catch more. I replied with something along the lines of 'Fuck off'.

Only on blue and yellow. I felt awesome. Then i restarted. I lost my mew D:
I'm intending to do the same with Soul silver when i get it on friday

I did in Gold (excluding Mew and Celebi). I think I stopped playing Gold at that point, too.

It seems like way too much effort. Not that i wouldn't try to do it naturally when playing through the endgame stuff, but it pulls a dickmove with those event-only pokemon.

It pretty much MAKES you have to hack the game.

If you watch this after achieving the task, then it's all worth it.

I did it on Blue with 151 - using a gameshark to catch Mew.

Fun times, nice sense of accomplishment to have such a full pokedex, but that's about it.

I never did, despite putting hours of gameplay into it turns out I was never destined to be a pokémon trainer...

Never did. I was more focused on training good teams to kick ass rather than catching a bunch of useless Pokemon I'd never use (weak or because they're rare and not what I like to use).

Then yes. I did.

Me and my friend worked together when we were kids and both got "them all" in the original red/blue games. (Besides Mew) At the time we felt like gods, I even took my Gameboy to school to show a friend as he doubted I had all 150.

I caught 'em all completely cheat-free (Mew included, from one of those events) in Pokemon Yellow.

All it gave me was a little "Congratulations!" screen, but damn, did it feel good.

Of course, this was back when there were only 151.

I did it in Cystal Version.

Totally worth it in my mind, as it saved my arse hundreds of times during the long and boring family trips on the road.
