catching all 151 pokemon

hey there, i am currently prepairing for a 1 night challenge to catch all 151 pokemon on the original red and blue games between 3 of us and i was wondering if anyone on the escapist had ever managed it also just out of interest how you fancy our chances, we will not be using any cheats other then glitching one the the games to get mew as im not travling back in time and to japan for him =P. oh and also we will be using 1 cartrage and 2 emulators, thanks for reading and feel free to remanise about your own pokemon red/blue/yellow adventures =)

I managed it. The last one I needed was Tauros, I remember it well... You know you're going to have to play through the whole game including the elite 4 to get to Mewtwo, right? How are you going to do that?

Yeah im sure you guys can do it, the evolutions might take up some time but mmh, its possible.

well i played through yellow on my own one evening so i imagin one of us will do it =)
also we are mainly doing this for fun but that doesnt mean we wont try hard

Sounds awesome.
You should be able to, although I'd use the Cinnibar Island glitch, particularly with getting the Safari Zone Pokemon.

I'd use rare candies for the evolutions if I were you.

Use Misingno cheat. Srsly.

It'll take you more than a night to get all 151, I recon. Gl,hf.

Unless you went to Japan for one of the events, not legal ways to get Mew.

I did catch all 151 pokemon once. Although I did use the cheat cartridge to get my Mew. Well I was really young and my parents were hardly going to take me somewhere just to a single pokemon. Anyway unless you're going to grind the Elite Four like you've never done before and have already finished the game I don't see you get all 151 pokemon.

I managed to get all 151 on red back in the day. It took a long time, though not more than 30 hours if memory serves me right. I used the missingno glitch to get infinite rare candies and master balls though... so catching them was no problem and I didn't have to worry too much about training to evolve them. To do it in one night is going to be quite a challenge.

That's not true. There were events in the Netherlands, and I'm sure all over Europe as well.

Never heard about any of those. At least nowhere even remotely close to my location.

I think it's impossible, to get some of the evolutions you need to trade and as far as I know you can't trade on emulators.

Even with 3 people, that would be hard. I'd suggest getting move people, and setting out a plan of the different Pokémon you intend to each catch. You will need to get another handheld, so you can get the Pokémon which require trading, but if you don't, there is no shame in cheating for those ones. I wish you all the best, and I really hope that you can manage it.
