I've been wracking my brain for a very very long time, about why folks get so upset about things that have really nothing to do with them.
The latest blow came to me today when reading a newspaper article on how Canada's Governor General (the vice-regal representative in Canada of the Queen, who is the head of state), who's position is largely ceremonial, took part not in hunting of a seal, only in joining the native Inuit in one of their sacred ceremonies involving the first hunt (or whatever) by eating a peice of the flesh.
I know that was alot and I still haven't gotten to the point, but rest assured, here it comes. Basically, PETA, in all of their naked wisdom, decides to boycott Canadian Maple Syrup to save baby seals, something that A. Wasn't eaten and B. Has little if anything to do with one another.
My whole point here, is that why do you think people get so upity about something that has absolutely nothing to do with them.
Oh and here's the link about the syrup thing - http://www.canada.com/news/Boycott+Canadian+maple+syrup+save+seals+PETA/1636196/story.html
