I just wanted to know just to kill time when I am bored.

I already know there is a "emulator" for Magic games, but I don't know much.

Any help is welcome

Thank you for your help

You mean actual card games not whole games? There are the Yu-Gi-Oh games, I suppose - it's...exactly what you'd expect, I suppose - just cards, you don't get the fancy animations the show has. If I remember correctly, you could install several of the games (each had a different opponent - I've played against Kaiba and there was Joey, each also had a slightly different set of cards) and you'll get all the cards from all of them. It's OK if you're into Yu-Gi-Oh, I think, otherwise, might not be that interesting.

I wanted to suggest Etherlods, though - I've played Etherlods 2, but the first one should also be the same. It's...a ripoff of Magic, in short. Only instead of "cards" they call them spells, mana is mana (or energy or something) and the lands are represented by "channels". Otherwise it works exactly the same - you get to summon creatures and use enchantments and spells, your creatures behave like the ones in Magic (attacks are made against the hero, you can block attacks, etc) and otherwise makes everything the same. Even the races are encoded into colours, although you have 4 colours (red, black, white and blue, or it cold be green) that are pretty similar tot he Magic equivalents. The battles are in 3D, though, with actual heroes and stuff. I can't recall if you could do quick battles (probably) but otherwise the campaign was more or less turn based strategy - you get an land map, which your hero traverses per turn and collects resources (used to buy cards) and if you go into battle you...get a battle, of course. It was really fun, though, I played it before I even knew of Magic and I liked it.

Not exactly the same but Armageddon Empire is an awful lot of fun. Technically a turn based strategy game but all resources and armies come from a deck of cards you construct so you can build around how you want to play the game and have to deal with the luck of the draw as well.

Indeed, I had played both Ehterlods games. The first one was a mix of magic the gathering and Heroes and might and Magic.
In the second game the developers said "f*ck it! Lets make the game only about card battles!"
Very interesting at some point, but I get bored very soon. I really don't like the design of the monsters is one of the reasons...

You could always get the original Magic The Gathering PC game. That was actually really really good with an overworld and trade system whereby you had to do quests and dungeons which could have special rulers each match. Modders fixed it for modern OSs etc. Still a lot of fun to play.

Yup that one. Sure it isn't perfect but it's quite a lot of fun. I still play it sometimes.

I haven't tried replaying it since I've found Magic (also, after I stopped being 14), so dunno maybe you're right. It was a long time since I played it.

At any rate, I forgot to mention two other games - Arcomage is one. It's not a "collectible" card game but close - it's free and you can find it on abandonware website(s). It was a card game, part of Might and Magic 7 and 8 but also later (once) sold separately. I find it fun, although it's annoying, since it won't work if your display is not set to 16-bit colours. At any rate here is an overview of the game
You have three types of resources, each governed by a factor - quarry gives you bricks, magic gives you gems and zoo gives you recruits. If you have, say, 5 quarry, that means you get 5 stone per turn. For each card, you pay one of the resources, respectively bricks for red ones, gems for blue ones, and recruits for green ones. You also have a tower, which acts like HP and wall...attacks normally hit the wall before the tower (so it's like HP again). You have three objectives - either demolish the enemy's tower, or reach a specific height of your tower (might be 100, for example) or reach a specific number of resources (something like 300, for example) and you win. I can't recall specifically but there was a difference between M&M 7 and the standalone game - in one place, you need to get all your resources to the required level to win in the other only one of them is enough.

And the second one is a reskinned CCG - it's called Highgrounds [http://www.highgroundsgame.com/] - you collect troops and during battle can summon them for money. They have different statistics and can be put either in the front row or the back row - there are different benefits for each place (one troop may give you extra money each round if on the back row but on the front row has 3 attack, for example). It's fun and somewhat addictive. Perfect to kill some time, I think.

Not played Cabal but yes a little like that from the look of it. You play the game on a hexgrid and you have to explore and build up resources and forces to deal with the others on the map.

I think they are somewhat random. Do you mean the ones you get in battle or the ones you win after battle? In battle, you have a set of troups (if you edit your army you'll see them) and the game gives you troops from that pool (any you haven't gotten yet, so you have one copy of each...unless you have two or more). At least I think it's what it does - I'm not too far into it myself - just played two more battles for a total of six now (including the tutorial). After battle, you do get more troops but I'm not sure how random are they - at one point I fought some skeletons (who are apparently a different "race" - they use crystals instead of gold) and got an undead troop afterwards. So, I think you get troops of the race you fight. You can apparently buy more but like CCGs, you have booster packs, so you're not sure what you'll get. Never tried it, though.

A!
Ok, I thought you couldn't edit your army, but I was mistaken.
Thank you for the info.

You might need to be logged in, I'm not sure.
