Hey CD Projekt! Edited out the utterly immature and tasteless forced sex scenes/nudity yet? No?

*continues to ignore the Witcher series*
There's...no forced sex scenes in the Witcher.

Did you mean "forced" as in "out-of-place?" As opposed to "non-consensual?" Yeah, there's a fair bit of that in the first game, but none in the sequels. They did a good job making the trysts more meaningful from a narrative perspective, instead of just "you saved me from bandits, now come to this windmill and I will give you nudes."

There are no forced sex scenes in W3 as far as I know. Sure there's nudity, and some intimacy here and there. And the game isn't afraid to show all of that to you. But the sex scenes are pretty much all avoidable. In fact, the only one I've encountered so far (though I'm not super far into the story yet) is one I had to actively pursue through dialogue to get it.

Maybe I was mistaken. I could have sworn the intro to W3 had nudity in it at least but after watching it just now, I see it's just showing the backs. Still not optimal but I suppose I'm not gonna be that much of a nun about it. I might give the game another look.

But yeah, if there's a scene that surprises me with nudity even if it's a side-quest, or even worse, if there's some cringy sex scene that also surprises me or that I have to watch in order to progress the game in any way, it immediately degrades my view of the developer by a ton.

Stuff like that (unless it's shown in a VERY disgusting and clear "this is terrible" light, and even then, they can find a way to cover it up at least some) is unacceptable to me. We already live in a society which accepts these things as normal more and moreso. I don't wanna see it in my games as well. Keep in mind, I'm NOT advocating demonizing people who view pornography. I get it. I'd be a HUGE hypocrite anyway if I said I never looked at it. But it should be like cigarettes. Something that we do but we're not proud of and we want to quit.

Are you sure you're not a nun? That's a pretty radical view you have on nudity and sex.

I complete it and then I start a new game. Why? Because I have to play something, and The Witcher 3 ruined most other games for me. The only other game that I played this year from start to finish was Divinity Original Sin 2. I loved it, sure, but it's not The Witcher 3.
I know, right. Out of everything that The Witcher 3 has done, the biggest achievement is how badly it puts down other open-world games.

I recently played Shadow of War, and almost every second of my time in that game, I was thinking to myself, "Damn, I wish I was back playing TW3, right now". The game is gorgeous, it is full of detail, and I cared about the side missions more than just because I wanted to tick off the box, or get some gear.

The Witcher 3 was a masterpiece, and brutally, I realise that more in retrospect, more than I did when I was playing it for the first time.

I actually disagree, I wouldn't read the books before the games (especially since the stories don't really align). Geralt in the books is a very different Geralt in the games, I read the books as I was playing the game and I stopped playing the game in the last act because I really liked book Geralt and it put me off game Geralt.

Game was fun but dragged towards the end. Especially when you think the story is heading towards a satisfying climax and it just opens another huge area of map to explore. I love the amount of content they included but i think they made it to big. But then i dont have much interest in the lore so thats probley why it dragged. Great game though and one for anyone that loves rpgs.

I actually had trouble reading the books.

I'm on my first playthrough.

I stopped playing 2 as I think a glitch was keeping me from continuing. I might return to it one day, but W3 is spoiling me. It is a cut above 2.

Great video. I'm sad the series is over but what a journey. I'll still go nowhere near Gwent though :)
I would like a remaster of Witcher 1 & 2 in the style of 3 at some point. I love the story in first Witcher but the game style was a bit jarring for me.

If the possibility of nudity offends you, perhaps it's not the game for you. It has blood and stuff. And there's even a few fucks thrown in there. But seriously, you are depriving yourself of one of the finest experiences gaming has to offer though.

The Withcer 3 is easily the most overrated game of this generation.

its mediocre game overall with nice presentation and world. the combat suck, the controlling is awful. and most of quest are boring and chore to play.
