Greetings, programs!

Apparently having nothing better to do I decided to start to collect special fan-days of all kinds to celebrate them. Examples provided below.

Raptor awareness day, April 17th - originating from the xkcd-forums, improve your house to prevent attacks
Towel Day, May 25th - in memory of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide carry around a towel all day
Talk like a pirate day, September 19th - that be pretty obvious, aye?
Star Wars Day, May 4th - the perfect day to rewatch all your Star Wars DVDs, challenge evil lords of the Sith and destroy moons battle stations
Winter-Een-Mas, last week of January (25th-31st) - a holiday for gamers coming from CAD, just sacrifice some coins to the mighty gods of gaming

So here comes the discussion part: What other days do you know, did you celebrate them and if so how?

To answer for myself, I plan on catching up on the Star Wars part during the weekend since the actual premiere-day is coming up on tuesday and will definitely do the towel thing there too.

My god I missed Raptor Awareness day!
Lucky you got away alive this time. But remember for next year: better armed than sorry.

And I found out on July 3rd is "stay out of the sun" day... sounds like my everyday life.

Pi Day

14th May (American calendar format 3/14)
You hopefully mean 14th of march.

And the American date system IMHO as a programmer is confusing as hell, Europe has Date-Month-Year (little endian if you will), Japan has Year-Month-Date (big endian if you will) but America has Month-Day-Year (MIDDLE/WEIRD ENDIAN HORROSHOW)

You're all forgetting something very important.

May is Zombie Awareness Month, and I think this is a good time and place to just remind people.
