(sees all the games people hating and wonders how)

Assassin's Creed 3: the climbing on trees was a good substitute for massive architecture and sprawling city without sacrificing the setting.

Max Payne 3 showed you carrying whatever rifle you were using in-game during cutscenes. That was kinda neat.

Dead Space

Having all of the inventory/map/whatever screens as a projection in the game environment was a nice touch.

Command And Conquer 4 had good unit animation and model design.
Kane was still fun to watch.

I am seriously choking down a lot of bile for that game.

Rage had some excellent animations and I loved the look of that shotgun.

What I hated was the constant performance issues and mangled textures. :<

Some of Mass Effect 3's character arcs were really well-written and highly enjoyable.

Granted, I don't actually hate ME3, but then hate is a pretty strong word for a video game.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Legend of Jack Sparrow...

Crash Purple was probably a nice throwback for fans of the original games.

The electric beam gun you get from Tesla was actually fun to fire at enemies as you hovered around in Dark Void.

I would include something about Colonial Marines but I don't know if I hate the game as much as it was so mediocre that I regretted spending money on it. Dark Void was kind of like that too, but only 6 hours long at the most so I put that down.

After you empty a container in KoTOR 2, it says (empty), when you mouse over it. Afeature I sorely missed, going back to the first game.

Mass Effect 2... Some of the loyalty missions had their moments, I guess...

ME3 had decently fun multiplayer, and the sequence from Palaven through Tuchanka was pretty good. (too bad the rest of it was crap).

And since everyone is using AAA titles right now here's a less well known game: A Valley Without Wind had some cool ideas, if no real payoff in any way to them.

The environment aesthetics in God of War: Ascension were much better in some ways than God of War 3 which I felt had used the same environments and color schemes over and over again.

Rome was really cool in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Very well made and it was fun to run around in and explore.

The opening section of Resident Evil 5 felt just as tense as the first part of Resident Evil 4. Probably the best part of the game for me personally.

Final Fantasy XIII is one of the most visually beautiful games I've ever played.

Metroid: Other M.... didn't put Samus in high heels, I suppose.
Prepare to fully hate Other M then.

Considering the original designers of the Zero Suit were totally against her having high heels, giving her some in Other M makes me sad. :/

I'm aware of that. I'm willing to let that slide in comparison to the new Smash Bros abomination though.

I mean at least with Other M, its still one solid mass, like a boot.
True, but I still thought it looked stupid in Other M. I'm not opposed to ridiculous outfits in games, but I feel like Samus would be the last person wearing something frivolous like that during a mission.

I think that would be the only reason why I would replay that game in the first place... Well, that and it's "interesting" take on the combat in general... But, I digress...

Batman, Arkham Origins had the most epic fight out of the franchise with the slade fight. In stereo 3D I was loving it.
