Other people have pointed out that the execution is where the story would have to shine. I have one specific gripe. Is the fact that the kid has no idea he's autistic the only twist this story has? If so, it runs the risk of someone clever figuring it out within the first few chapters or even the first few paragraphs. also the entire story would be incredibly easy to spoil.
