Changing Your Avatar

I used to change it a few times a while back, but nowadays I don't, and I find it mildly irritating when someone else does. I recognize a lot of people based on their avatars, and sometimes even only remember the username through a means of association with the avatar.

But hey, your funeral. You don't want to fame-whore? BE MY GUEST.

Haven't changed it once, and don't intend to. Well, technically, at least...
It's been altered for certain events, e.g. it has the MM at the moment for March Mayhem, it's had snow and a wreath for christmas, it's had just the first F-14 on a black background with fireworks to celebrate New Years, etc...

But if you don't count alterations as actually changing it, then the F-14 is here to stay.

I haven't changed my avatar yet, though I haven't been here long, I didn't really use the site untill about December last year.

I never change my name, either, I've had this alias for a good 10 years now, and there are people who occasionally bump in to me and remember it from waaay back (like Diablo 2).

It used to be Alucard from "Castlevania: Symphony of the night" and I kept that for a while, Then I changed it to the "New York Rangers" logo and kept that for a few days, before getting bored of it, as much as I like the Rangers, their logo is not the most interesting one,

I had "Minnesota Wild" logo as I heads up to my friend and kept that for a week,

Then I went for my absolute favorite ice hockey team, the "Pittsburgh Penguins".

When I got fed up of that, I changed it to my favorite actor, Vincent D'Onofrio. I only changed it recently as I got a "March mayhem" version of my Vincent D'Onofrio avatar which I am currently using and will switch back one March mayhem is over.

I will only change my avatar if I have another picture of Vincent D'Onofrio that I really like, but at the moment I am not inclined to change it.

I had a Wolverine still when I started here but then made the one I have now.
Changed it to a Nicholas Courtney still when he passed away and changed the current one slightly for MM.

Once a month, usually. Once my Paypal payment goes through so I can join the Publishers Club I'll put up a larger version of the one I have new with some March Mayhem added.

I've changed it two times now, but I won't be changing it anymore. The thing is, mine is now over the current size limit (okay the size limit always was there, but they just started to enforce the it now), so if I delete this one, I won't be able to get it back. And I like my first try at making an animated gif.

I can't remember exactly when I got the foundation of my Avatar made but I'm never changing it[footnote]Besides the occasional seasonal variation.[/footnote] because I love it too much.

However, if I ever really wanted to bury myself in the crowd I could ditch it. No one would recognize me! Muhahahaha!

I change it when I get a better picture of Calumon. The one I have right now is awesome. I do have a .gif I'd like to use, but it's size is all wrong and I don't think I'll be AS identifiable with it.

But it is adorable... so I'm stumped.

I started with a Skulduggery Pleasant one.
After 100 posts, I changed it to Mr. Incredible on a computer.
After 1000 posts, I changed it to ol' Stephen Stills over there, but it was a different animation from the one I have now.
After 2000, I changed it to Darkwing Duck, but got bored with it so went back to this.

I don't have the heart to get rid of Stephen Stills. That said, I might change it again when I git the 5000 mark. Got quite some time to decide on it though.
