Is there a book/movie/video game, or some other pop culture work of art that you did not like, even hate at first but later grew to appericate and possible love?

I went from being sick and tired of the Hannibal Lecter series. After Silence of the Lambs I never wanted to hear about another movie and people quoting them. I never really appreciated any of the movies until a few years ago until all four films came out and suddenly the series seems pretty solid.

To be difficult, I hated Repo: The Genetic Opera. I then liked it but almost immediately went back to hating it. Love Never Dies is better than fucking Repo.

I remember not caring for Discworld when I first tried to read one of the books...but that was probably because it was a random one and I only read a little of the middle. I'm glad I went back to Discworld; love those books!

When it comes to video games...I don't think I liked Castelvania at first. I remember playing the original Castlevania when I was younger and I didn't care for it but at this point I look at the franchise a lot more kindly (especially Castlevania IV and, Symphony of the Night)

I never really liked Take That. They were everywhere, they were annoying and then they were gone.

After they reformed and I listened to a couple of their better older songs and their new stuff and seen their live shows, I'm of the opinion they're really quite spectacular.

The fact they used a 100ft tall hydraulic robot as a stage prop helped immensely.

I was pretty convinced I would hate How I Met Your Mother. Then I watched all 7 seasons in like a week. Now I very much like HIMYM!

I fully expected to hate Avatar: The Last Airbender and stubbornly resisted all of my fiance's attempts at introducing me to the show...and then one day I caught a bit of an episode by accident and have been in love with it ever since.
