I wan to see how creative Escapist can be, and want to put that creativity to good use.

I have recently made a new story called TorabuRune, the name being a pun on "Toraburu," which means trouble in Japanese. The name makes sense because this is a magic story, and so magic somehow always leads to trouble. The story falls into these genres:
Action
Comedy
Ecchi
Fantasy
Magic
Mystery
Romance
School
Slice of Life
I've already established the story, some plot details, and a few characters. This is where Escapist comes in. I want you all to make up some characters. As this is an anime-style story, give them some strange hairstyle, or something they always wear, like a hat or high boots. This is fantasy, so they can have a pet baby dragon or something.

They can be any gender, but preferably around the ages of 14-17. A few older characters would be good as teachers, since this story is about a magic school. If they're 14-17, I prefer a few male characters, as I have a few too many female ones.

So Escapist, show me how imaginative you can be!
EDIT: For anyone who's interested, here's a link to the first chapter and cover art:

I'll be posting more chapters soon.

I have one! Alright. He's an undead gunslinger who's about 30. I originally wanted him to be American, with a slight Southern accent, but you can change that if you want. Short version: Undead ex-cop. He always wears a white pin-striped suit with a matching fedora. Always carries a .357 revolver and smokes. He's obsessed with guns and always carries multiple firearms. He's basically immortal because he's already dead. He can lose limbs which still move and he can pull them off and put them back on at will. Personality: Brilliant and determined detective with a morbid sense of humor. Others are put off my his condition, but it's just a fact of life to him and so he constantly makes light of it. He also drinks, but never sake. Bourbon.
Alright, that's the basic outline. Enjoy!

Ecchi? Romance? 14-17? Somehow I think that sounds like either a very very very bad, or sort of good plan.

Okay, oop the toop of me head:
Initial brain thing:
"Octopus vs Robot Hitler"
"Octopus with Robot Nixon"
"Octopus and Super Nixon"
"Octopus and Super Roosevelt: They Fight Crime!"
The players: Albert-James Nordman, the Octopus in an exoskeleton as part of an offshoot CIA program to initiate sentience in specific species, gets timewarped via a magical windchime is sent into a different dimension, where he meets up with Super Roosevelt, who is basically Mario with a more impeccable mustache, and glasses. They engage on awesome adventures spanning the twelve continents in search of the Lost Pieces of the Magical Sextant so that they can navigate their way to Atlantis for a wicked backyard party. We join our heroes AJ and Teddy on the fourth leg of their quest, having already visited Wissalitz Island, Searscorch Volcano and the Jambula Swampbog. Currently they're seeking the Ultrajugger, so they can challenge him to fisticuffs on horseback.

The webcomic has been running for one and half years by a story guy named Hal Hirsch, and an artist named Jim Wurlitzer.
Not bad for straight out of the imagination in 2 minutes, eh?

It's not going to be an extreme Ecchi, hint Elfen Lied or To Love Ru. More like Zero no Tsukaima or MM!(I'm terribly sorry if you have no idea of what I'm talking about). It's not a main focus, but sometimes a shirt will be ripped or a skirt flipped up.

And wow. That's a detailed story for something done in 2 minutes. That makes my brain seem slow.

He always wears a hoodie, with the ends of the sleeves tied shut over his wrists, so you never see his arms, and the hood is also tied in place, so that you never see his neck. The reason for this is part of his backstory, which I will explain in a minute.
An infant who would have been his baby brother died at birth when he was fifteen. Seeing his parents so devastated broke his heart, and he thought that the best way to help them would be to open a small, controlled window to the dead world, so that they could see their child long enough to tell him goodbye. He thought that it would be easy, because the child died so recently and the window didn't have to be wide or hold long. He was, unfortunately, wrong.
With his parents' help, he made the opening between this plain of existence and the one that comes after, but he made one mistake: he hadn't remembered to seal it so that nothing could get through. And as it so happens, a strange, shapeless being (that is either a spirit or a demon; even it doesn't know) came through his window quite by accident. Lost and confused, the being latched onto the boy's body and used him as an anchor to avoid being sucked back into the dead world. However, the boy passed out from shock because of this, leaving the thing in sole charge of his body. And as the spirit had never possessed a body, it didn't have the slightest idea how to use it or even how to keep life functions working, since it had no instinct to breathe or help the heart beat. The boy didn't die from this lapse, however, because the creature kept his body from dying even though its physical needs weren't met. After all, if the boy died, the creature would go right back where it had just escaped from.
By this time, the window had closed, and the boy's parents mistook him for dead, assuming that he had ventured too far into the dead world looking for his baby brother and had been unable to come back. They tearfully buried him on the site where he opened the window, believing that they had lost both of their children.
Realizing that it is trapped inside a body that is trapped underground, the spirit wakes the boy and demands to know how to use his body. About an hour after the boy has stopped panicking long enough to figure out what had happened, he tries to explain that he can't get out of the ground; it is impossible. The spirit calmly considers this while the boy curls in his coffin, horrified at his predicament. It eventually explains that if it spends enough time in this body, then the body will probably be able to use its powers. It says it can keep the boy alive long enough for that to happen. "How long?" the boy asks. "Not too many years." replies the spirit.
Several years later, the boy hasn't aged, but has slowly realized the he can see in the blackness of his coffin, strange marks on his arms that glow with an undefinable colour. These became brighter and brighter until the spirit one day finally said "It is time." Working together, they use the boy's body to smash and dig out. Though he still feels uncomfortable without oxygen, he cannot die. The spirit will never let him age or die.
Seeing their son again after so many years, disheveled, filthy and with otherworldly glowing symbols on his neck and arms horrifies his parents. They do not listen to his pleas, convinced some demon was mimicking the shape of their long-dead child for some awful purpose. It is at this point that the boy realizes the holy seals employed to repel ghosts and evil creatures can block him from the house he grew up in. Even though the creature belongs to neither of these groups, he does originate from a world without these holy powers, and so hasn't any ability to defend against them.
When their seals work, the boy knows that now wherever he goes, he must always hide the presence of the creature - hide his markings, hide his inability to die, and hide the strange new powers that shine through in his formerly human body it soaks up the spirit. He cannot bring himself to be angry with the creature, for it isn't evil. It is only lost, confused and homesick, and the boy knows his body is the closest thing to a home the poor thing may ever have again.
He carries on as best he can, with a new companion who won't, can't, ever leave.
... Eh? Eh? What do you think?
