Soma Cruz... I never liked him and saw him as the rival of Juste Belmont (who is pure awesome!). And I hate him even more for being in the new Castlevania HD and Juste (No Belmont is... but still he is THE best Belmont) isnt... Also the fact that I play as him and Jonathon, but one of my friends plays as Jonathon so we add variety by me playing as the douche muffin that is Soma Cruz! D:<

Pam and Jim from The Office are also wearing out their welcome. The producers seem to focus too much on them even WELL after their characters have arced, while ignoring the potential Creed has (my favorite character).
Creed is great because he walks into a scene and do something completely insane and then walks away again. But he's not really the kind of character you can build a (plausible) story around.

Also I hate: Those guys form Gears of War, most of the Doctor's companions and any role played by Jeri Ryan
EDIT: Oh and Jeri Ryan

I can't believe no one called the Guildmaster from the first Fable game! 'Your health is low!'. Clive Owen's character in Inside Man also deserves a mention. When I saw the film the other day and heard him talk, I thought 'Here we go, another glorified criminal in a film'. It's almost the same reason I don't particularly like The Dark Knight's Joker, who's plans rarely had a hiccup.

Ashley from Mass Effect. Leaving the ***** to die was really satisfying.

Aerie from Baldur's Gate II. If only she wasn't so damn useful in a fight...

That Tingle guy from Zelda. He was kinda funny in a WTF kind of way the first time. After that it got a bit... awkward.

Cloud, the brooding bastard. Aerith was a pointless character and she was fucking boring to boot. Dude if you haven't noticed TIFA IS THROWING HERSELF AT YOUR FEET ON YOU STILL MOAN ABOUT FUCKING AERITH! Tifa, IMO, is the best female character in the whole FF seies. She's smart, strong, can handle herself, ISN'T IRRTATING (which is a God send in FF games) and let us not forget

Is fucking smoking! Dumbass.

You forget that JRPG leads are all gay. They're just pretending so they won't disappoint their parents. Aries was the safe bet.

Anyway, to answer the question......the techno geek in Under Siege 2, hated that guy.

Whatever that black market guy's name is from Just Cause 2 left me with an expanse of hate in my soul.
Tom sheldon, quite annoying to say the least, i find him more annoying as sloth demon earlier in the game to be honest

That ghost from fable 2.

So yeah, I either dump the girl and

make her commit suicide

or I marry her! Yeah, because moral choices never have a grey area, I couldn't have just told her about the ghost and asked her to go talk to him, could I, no, that wouldn't do at all...Talk about the ol' "Either Mother teresa or super hitler" syndrome that such games seem to suffer from.

I personally avoid that side quest as much as possible. To it's credit, I did find multiple points where a grey area did exist in fable 2, but there were just as many when it was black and white.

Emil hartman from alan wake got on my nerves to. I know he was kinda supposed to, but still. I guess it doesn't help that I don't tend to like those sort of psychologists who bring out books providing the supposed "solution to all of life's problems" for the bargain price of £12.99.

@alphavillain: Y'know, Alan Wake is a grumpy, self-doubting, cynic. Which is probabally why I could relate to him so much.

Midna.

That horrific little lolidemon was a gremlin sent to plague me from the lowest bowels of hell. Sure, the game TRIED to redeem her...but she was still a disgusting little wretch that made me rage so violently as to start almost literally frothing at the mouth.

I've never met so detestable a character.
Are you so quick to forget this?

If I'm honest, Navi wasn't so bad to me. I could tone out the little imp after a bit. but Midna was seemingly just purpose built to be an oxygen thieving little demon meant for inflicting rage upon the poor sod who wants little more than to eat her face.

Granted, though, Navi was annoying.

I've been playing Mount&Blade Warband recently, and have been schmoozing up to Count Reland, one of the usual Marshals of the Rhodocks.

That bastard decides it's a better strategy to raid villages than capture a major city of the Sarrannids, and refused to do anything, even though he was at the highest disposition I could get him (100/100). It's more of a game problem than a character problem, but that guy sounded like he was going to jump in my pants by the way he talked to me, nevermind that I was playing as a guy myself.

Bonus points if you know what I'm talking about, by the way.

Oh my god, I hated getting peoples dispositions. By the time I stopped playing my 'friends' were all in warring nations on account of me having captured and released them so many times.

Also, every time I capture a town it pretty much comes down to just me, then if the king gives it to someone else I completely lose it and go around killing everyone.

Good game! ^_^

Wheeler in silent hill homecoming. Hes not a stereotype like yahtzee depicted, but the asshole throws you in jail. FOR NO REASON! What a dick move.

Sheva. Need I say more?
Well Wheeler did find you neat to the mayor's body. That's why he threw Alex in Jail.

Sheva wasn't so bad because I was controlling her in co-op play with my brother.
If the mayors body was next to him, then fitchs body wouldve been next to him at the docs office, but it wasnt, meaning that the bodies get left in silent hills other world. Which means wheeler casually strolls to the cemetery, sees alex and throws his ass in jail for nothing. Even if the body was there, it wouldve been obvious that a creature killed him. Alex isnt that strong to kill a man like that. But lets act like wheeler didnt do any of that. They couldve had another entire part of the game where you travel to the sheriffs station, and attempt to report it before the station gets attacked. That wouldve been a much better way to introduce him, and make him more likeable rather than tossing you in a cell on sight.

But in the end its silent hill, everyones going to see it there own way. I dont mean any of this in arguement just as stating the way I saw it.

But Im not as fortunate to have a friend play sheva, so her ai was grueling for me. I seriously bought a stun rod, just to smack her with it. So youre lucky on that one sir, more lucky than I was when I played. Congrats to you on that.

It's not too hard, really. The best thing to do is to pledge vassalage to your favorite faction, and do various odd jobs for the counts. Going to war with them helps, as you gain a Friendship Point(TM) when you fight by their side, whether battling outside or besieging a castle. If you want to be nice to the king, basically win any battle against a count/emir/jarl. You also get a Friendship Point(TM) that way.

If you want a piece of land, be nice to 3-5 people and ask them to support you. Usually if your disposition towards them is higher than 12 or so, they agree, unless they're supporting their king or someone they really like. In that case, you need a good deal more disposition.

Maybe it was just bad luck, but with most of the counts (I swore Vassalage (SP?) to Swadia) scratching their bums doing nothing but possibly raiding little villages I sort of went my own way, To be honest the kind hated me because I ended up causing so many wars with people we were at peace with. People tend to give you the places if you capture them alone anyway though, so it wasn't too bad, except when I had too many.

Did you ever become a king yourself?

No, actually, but I do own Reyvadin, Pagundur, Sekhtem, Mazigh, Chide, Emirin, and Jameyyed Castle. The game has an arbitrary limit to the places you can own by voting/schmoozing, which I think gets higher with your renown.

I just got the game about a week ago, and I've been playing it nonstop since. My schedule with it is getting a bit scary, honestly.

Try not to attack caravans or rival counts when your faction isn't at war with them. All you have to do is have patience, and you will get a war. It happened to me with the Rhodocks, and we've nearly annihilated the Sarranids and gained considerable ground with the Khergit Khanate and the Vaegirs. When the marshalls aren't being complete dumbasses, they can be scarily clever with their choices on what to attack.
