No real explanation necessary.
The Queen of the Desert?

Because if not then you're going to have to explain.

I'll just go with a cop-out answer: Any character from Spiderman 3.
This^. I love this answer. The women were whiny emotional cripples and the men were selfish jerks. There are a few characters I liked, but not much.

Every "good guy" from Avatar (Movie), Spider-woman, She Hulk etc. all female character rip-offs from male characters. Can't think anymore for now.

All super villains with (if you'll permit me) bullshit powers. Those would be, say, Madara Uchiha from Naruto, Aizen from Bleach and such characters who have the seemingly endless powers and cannot be stopped until the protagonist does the same thing to beat them.
I have everyone under hypnosis, and you can do nothing about it.........Son of a *****!

I really hated Andrei Smirnov from Gundam 00. He kills his father (who is by the way an awesome character) just because he had daddy issue with him. His issue is that his father was responsible for killing his mother during the war but her death is like a text book death standard in the military so how he can't understand something that common I didn't know. Also he is a hypercritic since he was fuel by anger to kill his father and yet he was trying to get this other character not be driven by hate.

I also hate Sasuke from Naruto. I hate him because his revenge/ vengeance are currently no longer justified. With out spoiling it for those who are not up date with the manga/ anime he did accomplice his revenge but yet he seeks out more revenge that is totally unnecessary (I don?t see how it is justify taking this action for revenge). I honestly don't believe he can be redeem (well I know a cop out way to redeem him).
Those two always bothered me because in the end you're supposed to feel sorry for them, even though they don't deserve it.

Sasuke, don't be a hypocrite, please. Naruto works so hard for someone who really doesn't deserve it.

There are no characters I hate out of annoyance (don't get annoyed all that often) but if you read Wheel of Time I hate Tuon and all of the Seanchan.

FF13, purveyor of some of the worst characters of the current generation. I hate everyone in this image except Sazh, the obligatory black character because he's the only remotely sane person in the whole tangled mess of the plot.

I personally couldn't stand Alistair from Dragon Age. Not so much as a friend or partner, but he was an annoying love interest. Same with Tidus, really.

Also Alucard from Helsing

The dude can't die. It's like learning a magic trick once you know how it works, it loses it's luster. He's been shot, decapitated, reduced to a puddle of blood, and just reforms, says some spell, and goes berserk. I like my heroes and anti-heroes to struggle, and if they aren't in mortal peril, then it gets boring.

It's like watching Superman.

Needless to say, I don't hate these characters, they just either annoy me or don't appeal to me.

I would have to say that, in terms of a character that truly raises my ire not just for the things they did, but the fact that they get off so lightly for them, I would definitely nominate the villain from the movie "Oldboy." Go look up the plot on Wikipedia, and then ask yourself; If you stood before someone who had done the things that this man did to the hero and his family, would you ever consider forgiving him, let alone beg him for mercy? Because I would not. I would devote no less than 3 years of my life to killing that man as slowly and as painfully as physically possible. Seriously, that movie and it's ending PISSED ME OFF.

I recently watched the Green Mile (fantastic film) and one thing that stuck with me was the character of Percy. I don't know if you've seen the movie or not (which, if you haven't, you totally should), but Percy was the most disgustingly sick and twisted character I've ever seen and while I was watching it, I genuinely hated him. I'm sure the actor is a nice person in real life and he's got skill to make me hate him like that.

So, Escapists. Have you ever actually hated a character? Not just simply found them annoying or mean, but seriously hated them?

Yeah that movie is great. Percy is a horrible person but Brad Dolan (from The Green Mile book) seems like a incarnate of Percy by harrassing Paul Edgecombe in the retirement home. He gets the "most hated character" award from me.

Nelix From Star Trek Voyager and Anakin skywalker from Ep: 2 and 3.

http://alia.customer.netspace.net.au/sw3.htm

Love that story, its an alternate timeline casting Samuel L. Jacksson better than in the prequels.

Does a good job of showing just how idiotic the character writing is in the prequels.

As has been said - Naruto, a thousand times over. The Series is essentially a deep and excellent Anime series, with a lead character-sue of the very worst kind, that escaped straight from the kind of fan-fiction, that a five-year old would write,, after being slapped into a coma with the "bullshit-morals" stick.

All the hatred... nay the loathing... comes flooding back to me with a well deserved "This ^"

Never have I thought a character ruined a TV series like Jaime Murray acting like an annoying Keira Knightley. So much hatred, so much rage, Gah I just want to kill someone!

i don't really hate, i rather find characters like superman incredibly dull.
oh and Dr Doom is awesome, he decided not to enslave humanity when he was just pushing a button away from it because he knew that he would be bored without opposition.

This piece of shit. If I could walk into a movie and stab this character, I would have.

I suppose that's a testament to Mr Tarantino's writing skills, that he can make a character that gets such an emotional response from me.

I don't really "hate" any characters, per se. Most characters I'll either like or be neutral towards. I can't say I've ever thoroughly despised a character, though.

There is one TYPE of character that grinds my gears, though. Characters who are put into a work to appeal to the lowest common denominator. I'm talking characters that are put in there solely to bring erections to men, fangirl moments to women, and laughs to kids.

One like this sticks out in my mind.Jar Jar Binks. But there are others too. Say, for instance,Mikaela Banes from the Transformers movies. Or any part Robert Pattinson plays. Or that one chick from the Jonah Hex movie.

That's really the only thing that irks me. I'm usually an even-tempered man otherwise.
So....Megan Fox.

That doesn't help his case to me...AT ALL. I still think he's a pretentious twit. I loved it during the "World War Hulks" mini-series how Banner made his IQ drop well below an "average" person's IQ. He couldn't even add 2+2, it was epic.

Chad/'Numbuh 274' of Codename: Kids Next Door.

In earlier seasons, he was a cocky and arrogent, yet heroic and provably clever hero that's essentially worshiped by a good amount of the KND, yeah that's actually fine, if perhaps Mary Sue-ish.

Later season, Chad betrays the KND and tried (though failed) to hurl Moonbase into the sun, ueah, probubly fair enough, if you're gonna have him devert to the bad side, the given fact he's told he has to be decommissioned after reaching 13 prompting him to betray the KND might be decent enough motive to give a newly formed villian.

But here's where Chad irks me so much that if I ever met they guy in real life, I wouldn't hesitate to punch him in the stomach repeatingly and hand him over to the KND regardless if what he tries to say to me;

In Op: TREATY, he starts trying to kill Nigel 1 moment, then pleads his innocence, saying he was helping the KND all along, despite several episodes showing the contrary. And he claims he tried to hurl Moonbase to the sun so he could stop Cree from doing so.

Really, Chad? what made you think hurling Moonbase into the sun yourself as a more suitable alternative then, say, warning the KND what Cree was going to do, or even stopping Cree yourself?

And how the heck were you actually helping the KND? you not only tried to hurl Moonbase into the sun, but you tried to hurl a highly explosive 'Footbomb' at it, how do you explain that? And how do you explain disguising yourself as Numbuh 86's mom while distracting her long enough for the Teen Ninjas to steal the KND code module, try explaining that as well!

Any of you in this forum can say what you will about Chad, but he's perhaps the most definitive example of character inconsistancy I've ever seen in published media, and possibly a canon-made Mary Sue if I ever saw one.

I really hate all the characters in Jericho. I really think it's a game that would of been improved if the entire cast was silent.

Edit: I really should expand on why I hate them. Their version of "squad banter" is insulting each other nine times out of ten and this usually involves some offensive comment. The type of banter that sticks out the most is how the big muscular Mexican guy usually tells the lesbian of the group to suck his dick and things of that kind. However, if I could tolerate more of it, I'm sure I'd get some atheist comments and some racist comments (assuming they weren't already choked out by one of the cast). Considering it's a game that you can tell they tried to have people of all groups including different sexualities, races and religious beliefs, it's something that is so bad of an idea, it's mind-blowing. The only other conversation that sticks out was when the non-lesbian female character asks the main character about an imaginary friend. I know this is done to establish what kind of social group the group member falls under (god yes, we have to have someone who is disabled, just we decided to run with mentally), but it was done in such a generic and badly written way that it's like you asked a ten year old to just act creepy.

The entire script was badly written from beginning and until I gave up with the game. It was just terrible. I couldn't root for a couple of idiots who were as professional as children on a sugar rush. I couldn't care about squad members who were created to be Mexican, lesbian, schizophrenic or otherwise just because they could, and then have conversations about it just to shoe-horn the information in. I couldn't help them as they were wounded without sighing loudly to myself just because their generally horrible personalities wanted them to die or at least suffer as they remained wounded so they would shut up, however I healed them not only to progress the game on but to just shut them up from reminding me they were down.

And who ever that one guy from from gears of war, bard or something, he's an annoying prick.

Dr. Doom. He's such a freaking jackass. Even when he's put in his place he still goes on about how amazing and great he really thinks he is. I wish they'd kill him off like they did Sabretooth. I'd actually be all for it to bring Sabes back to get rid of Doom...FOREVER.
Nah, they don't need to get rid of him, just change him to awesome dr, doom like this

Vaan in Final Fantasy 12. Seriously, he could be scrapped out of the game's development at the last second, and it wouldn't affect the story AT ALL.... Plus whoever did his english voice acting had zero personality and emotion.
