I'll usually have a "Hawke" in most RPGs like Fallout or Mass Effect which involve some kind of moral choice system, and I'll play them as close to the 'Magnificent Bastard' [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MagnificentBastard] archetype as possible. I'll sometimes use it in RTS games as well, usually with a rank prefix so it's something like "Commander Hawke" or "Colonel Hawke".

Bo and variations on AngryMongoose. If I'm actually naming a character and not just choosing a name though I'll generally come up with something at the time.

I tend to use Sinister, Maya for females, and Brutal Deluxe for band or team names. (cookie for that reference.

Sinister's been altered a bit in it's time too, my undead lock in WOW is called Sinistaahh, just cos it sounds like how an undead would say it, and my Def Jam fighter modelled on me, was called Sinista, as it sounded more 'bling'.

Damn Def Jam FFNY was epic, one of the only games I've ever seen where you can actually make a big fat fucker and yet he's believable as a fighter. You feel like he's like one of those larger wrestlers, there's fat all over, but there's a powerhouse of muscle underneath still.

Was so nice to create myself and be believable, and what's more, it just never got old kicking Ludacris in the happy sack, or slamming Sean Paul's head in a humvee's door forty seven times in a row.

Def Jam, the first rap game to really appeal to people who aren't fans of rap.

We need Def Jam, X Factor edition - where there's only one round, you against Simon Cowell, but he's handcuffed and you've got a whole warehouse full of makeshift weapons to smash his stupid snow white teeth out of his stupid vapid smug face.

Whoa, did I slip off topic?

Yeah, sinister, mainly.

Male: Jack
Female: Sally or Lilly.

For spome reason I like playing female characters more, I really don't know why. Except on Mass Effect, again don't know why. *shrugs*

Used to use Shinare for everything, but then I moved realms on wow to find that some low level mage had taken the name. So it evolved to Shinrae, which Ive been using for a few years now.

I've used Seriin for just about everything, including forum names and my XBL ever since putting it together from random letters years ago while naming my son in a Harvest Moon game. Other I use on occasion are Dyne Irving, or Skw'd (pronounced "squid").

Unless it is a pokemon game, then I generally just call my character Jamie/James, and have a large group of nicknames I use for the pokemon. Most of the time the 'mons nicknames is a traditional name I've used for every member of its species for a while now. For example, every Torterra I get is nicknamed Mayonaise, and each Umbreon is Crypt.

I like to use Garritios for the medieval/Roman ones, but tis one of the only names I stick with.
I also use Finkleberg if the character creator allows me to make a weird enough looking face on a duded that can be put in a dress with a huge axe. It makes killing things more amusing.

Depends on my character, I always try to find a suitable name..

If I'm a worn, gritty, soldier then Ivan or Alexander

If its comical characters Hans shall always be chosen.. sorry to any Jerries out there

Evil characters will be Lord (put in silly name) or Caine, etc.

However my all time favorite is Kloo or Lord Kloo, this name was invented as just a random set of keystrokes in COD 4 and has since become me..
