I always use some part of the name Mortimer Moriarti, usually just sticking with the name Mort.

I tend to name all my characters after members of metal groups I like or after authors and directors.

Does anybody else, when the game requests that you come up with a name for your charecter, have any consistant names that you always use.
Every single charecter I have ever created has ether been named Zack or Zoey depending on their gender. I dont know I just like those names.
In every game where I get the chance to name the character it is either Damien or Adara.

I don't rename the main character often but in FFT and Disgaea, I will name a large portion of my team.

O'Neil, Bean, Cherry, Frederick, Kyleen, Sera... and more I forgot.

I try to make my character names as different from those used in the game as possible.
If they're fairly common English names, then "Eucalyptus" for a male and "Xenophilia" for a female.
If they're a bit more fantasy-ish, then "Gary" for a male and "Amy" for a female.

I recentley borrowed Oblivion from a friend...

First i made a Khajit called "Kit Kat"
Second a Dark Elf i planned on making into a mage...i called him "Magelf"

I also called my enchanted sword Awesword (supposed to be an awesome-sword, geddit?)
And my bow...um bownage (Bow + ownage...then i noticed what it looked like)

Then when i made a new game 'twas Awesword II and Bownage II...if you havent guessed im not very creative.

As a longtime GM, names are my specialty. I can come up with a pretty good one in little time. However, when playing video games nowadays, I mostly let my ten-year-old son name my characters. He comes up with the most hilarious names.

He likes variations on female names for my male characters. "Boy named Sue" kind of stuff, but weirder and funnier.

I remember once when he was about seven, he couldn't remember the word "goddess" for a couple of minutes, so he made me name some rough slayer-type God-Woman. I spelled it God-Womyn, just to be contrary.
